If we recall, the Japanese race horse who won the 2022 UAE Derby and flopped in the 2022 Kentucky Derby. Crown Pride, made a nice return on the dirt in Korea to smash the Korea Cup by over 10 lengths.  I like Crown Pride so I was glad to see it. There is talk he may ship to the BC.  Interesting.

Replay.  Track looks like a sandy beach.  The place is packed with fans and bettors.

They need to use an American rider to have a better chance in the derby. Unlike other races like the Breeders Cup the Derby is just a different kind of race. I feel like that French jock didn’t give his horse a chance the last 2 years. The only reason I didn’t include Crown Pride in my wager was because of that jock.

Yes, that is the truth and what we have been saying.  Not knocking these world class international jockeys at all but the Derby blows them away.

Boy, that huge grandstand was packed with people.  Packed.

I think that's how they make their dirt tracks in Asia, it's just sand.  Nasty kickback, worse than most of our tracks!  Belmont Park may be "Big Sandy" but it's nowhere as sandy as that!

The first few Dubai World Cups at Nad al Sheba looked like that too until they had American track guys (initially the Churchill Downs guy) come in and make it look more like ours.

I cannot imagine any horse running a "fast" time on that stuff.
