Racing tonight TAB CHIPPING NORTON STAKES
Australia B Randwick
Gotta stay up pretty darn late to see this one, but I'm doing it.
Same Sire as Zenyatta.
This race wil put her up over $10 million :) and would be 15th conseq. gonna be a heartbreaker if she doesn't win~!
"The current race record for Winx is 18 wins from 24 starts with prizemoney of $9,493,925.00 " but this will be her 15th "consquetive".
I was so nervous! It was pouring rain when she walked into the yard, the track was heavy heavy and very wet. Just horrible conditions.
She was running past them at the end coming along the outside---crowd was going nutz
16 straight now.
This put her up over $10million in earnings I guess.
Before the race, these were the rankings. In 2016 she was world's top-ranked turf horse. Guess she still will be for 2017

Are those tulip ears ?
Poetry in motion!
Here's a video of the race for anyone interested.
not those ears though.
She was as close to a mortal lock as there can be, but the pouring rain had me worried.
$72 trifecta Winx/all/all paid almost $1600. So used to US racing, that value would not have been there so I didn't attempt it.
I was talking to a friend of mine today about Winx & something that has been puzzling me - that her action reminds me of another horse who didn't come to mind - suddenly occurred to me.
It's uncanny that when Winx goes aerodynamically low in the drive with such an impressive stride rate she resembles the superb race mare Goldikova. (check out any BC Mile that Goldi won & it's pretty obvious)
The other competitors look like rocking horses by comparison.
