I think Winx should have a little chat with Hugh Bowman about the whip...

"Hugh, don't get spooked...I was gonna go."  :)

I agree.  27 straight wins is mind boggling at any level & given the current proclivity to retire horses after a handful of races it's refreshing to watch one for years writing race history.

What a job Waller & team has done & continues to do with her.

I'd like to see the final 600 meter sectionals for this race.  It was on the slow side early & she still finished in 1:34.2.  It looked like she blazed the last 200 m.

i love good performances of elite athletes and she runs above her realm

like black caviar, frankel and others that give me a rush.

if you search for her last 600m. and 200 m, splits compare it to another i really like .
check out the turn of foot for the last Q for Oscar Perfomance front running

Woodbine mile , am I reading this right, 21 and change for a front runner.

That was a superb Oscar Performance...  :21.63 final Q to be exact.  I don't think you can let such a horse mosey through the first half like we saw here.

The BC Mile is shaping up to be a real race this year.

It's funny you should mention Winx, Black Caviar & Frankel in the same breath.  I think of them in that was, as well.

Absolutely.  There are many elements one can be legitimately critical of in this sport but not a single horse, not a one, is other than 100% horse.  In other words, perfectly a horse.

Of course, they separate themselves as racers according to ability but I have always thought the least claimer is worthy of the same respect & treatment as a Winx.

If we would like to see more eyes on the sport make it a better sport.  Simple!

(I respect Nick.  He works hard at his craft.)

Did you set your alarm? My intentions are always there, but I usually wake 2 minutes late and have to await the replay.

Go, Winx!
