Well..guess the distance didn't suit..
Forbidden Apple Stakes....R 9 Belmont
Nice field of established runners...if I can beat the fav., who I like immensely, it could bring in a nice overlay. Let me take a look.
Goodness,,#2 Disco Rico can scoot..m/l would be generous.
Drawn to #7 Projected..if they race like it's a race to the finish..best closer me thinks Should sit 5L off and swamp em late..suits rider...bigtime connections..
#4 Voodoo Song..go for it.
#1 Mr Who..not here
#3 Offering Plan..nice horse..bit below these.
#5 Blind Ambition..what you need to succeed... opening odds of 20/1 help.
#6 Pocket Change...on the up
Course is a concourse..
Think race flow will be to my picks advantage,. Should sit off #4 Voodoo Song..and hold off the fav late.
W/P #5 Blind Ambition.
Watch on the cutback..
Well done L.Rice took the Forbidden Apple with Voodoo Song. By 2
Pletcher losing a step?..oh wasn't Winstar.
How good is Oscar Performance is what I took away from this..
Blind Ambition ran a nice race on the cutback in the Troy Stks..
Not a turf mile, but giving Next Shares another shot here in the Eddie Read Stks..
Out for a gallop.
Sar R5 De La Rose Stls.
Going has this race mud..dled
Going with a flyer on my previous pic..
#3 Lido. 12/1 ML.
It's now or never...do it for Elvis.
R7 has an interesting one..
#6 Mucho. Mott/Ortiz..
2nd time starter.
#4 looks good to me in the post parade..Dillon Rocks 9/1
There's a horse with a very bright future..# 6 MUCHO.
Wow.horse is made for two turns ..maybe more.
liked your idea in race 7 , going with the 2 that raced before racing against these firsters
to bad mucho was bet down from 12/1 m/l to 2 to 1.
there was well bred firsters and the winner i'm waiting for to stretch out
to 2 turns later on.
6f first race is a start, early speed tired and some coming at the end look promising.
love the winners rasmusseen factor; bound 5h in the 3rd generation. thats a wow.
also a strong turf rasmussen factor,
the winner 55 days between races and some bullet works, 12 workouts, mott knows what he has.
Mucho to like..
Here we go..
A few runners mentioned along the way that impressed so far in theses mile contests step into the big time today. Shipping around the country and at the $pa for GR 1's.
Can't overlook Oscar Performance in the Arlington Million, in the Beverly D we have the Chad Brown French import Thais, and in the Fourstardave at $aratoga we have Made You Look, from Chad Brown, who I think is really coming into his own. Also, we have fan favourite Heart to Heart, who will try to take them gate to wire but will have some competition on the front end by another from these threads Voodoo Song from Linda Rice, gate to wire winner of the Forbidden Apple Stks last out.
All in all, I am glad I started this thread, as it gives me an "eye" for the horse and I feel that bit more confidant when I make my pick.
Fourstardave..I can't see a wire job in this race so tossing Heart to Heart and Voodoo Song. Made You Look is interesting, but Castellano getting off and going to the #2 Delta Prince, makes me go hmmmm..
Think it's comes down to the 2/4/7, but giving the edge to the #7 Yoshida to take it on the line.
Turf course really throwing up some mudpies..
Took a flyer with #3 Divisidero..
Sar R8 AOC 1 Mile F+M Turf..
Nice feature..let's take a look.
Yes..yes..these are the type of races that get my juices flowing.
Exceptional field..up n comers..shippers..international flavor
Stong connections..layoffs..solid workouts..tightly matched..
Lone speed who can't seem to close the deal..a few Daisy cutters coming flying late..can they get there..and which one can..hmmm.
$$$ to be made if on the right horse.
I agree, an interesting race. I have to try to beat Brown. :)
I am leaning pretty hard into the filly drawn outside for Clement, Sister Sunday. She got into a world of trouble last out at Gulf but still came running late. Cutting back. Should be able to tuck in from outside & hopefully find room this time. Leparooo gets off the schneid.
6/1 m/line looks about right to me but I won't accept less & would love more.
Good luck, Plus. :)
Me thinks you could get more..my feeling is around 10/1. Worth a flyer at that number. Ran on in last and was gaining at the end..winner got first jump, cut the corner and was gone. Leparoo jumps back on, not sure if that is an upgrade but he did win on the filly. In the mix..
Leparoo off the schnied in R4..
