TC winner Justify has not had an official work yet. But some leg stretchers.
The perennial Sunday scheduled Haskell is but two dozen days away.
A Baffert signal would be some (2-4) official workouts. Before the below stated.
A better signal would be $2 mil put upon the table; if the TCer leaves the gate on pray & pay Sunday.
A bettor's signal is to know that the Haskell's Home ~ Monmouth Park just installed 7~day a week Sports Betting and would derive many marketing schemes by having the drought ending Apollo colt take to the Jersey shore sand.
The field will include a couple of locally barned trois year olds that have won there, but should go off at > 100 to 1.
Mr. Bee Bop has a long standing relationship of gating runners in the G1 with 8 wins, as well as with the oval's management.
A bad signal IMHO (new (d) feature) would be Parx Derby. And yet, the two TC trainer Bob was a go for American Ph. to run in Haskell, and a don't want to go to Travers..that campaign.
From a track surface basis Jersey over Parx.
As mentioned, Monmouth management minds have been scheming to have the Hask as the 1st leg for subsequent winner to go on to other races, outside the track, and provide a retroactive bonus of $5 mil. Maybe the parties are pitching future scheduled races. No reason to cast it in stone ala Triple Crown designated yr to yr.
Bob might go for this as he returns to the Jersey joint most years anyway and could pick up his ceremonial $check and trophy. Insurance anyone!
enjoy the trip.....life's and racing (d)

Much as I hate to say it, I have a feeling Bob is being too easy on the horse because he has had some recent word Justify won't run again. Hoping I am wrong. He did say the colt needs weight

Good Magic has tightened up his AM prep breezing figures @ Belmont Pk.
Bravazo #5 needs slower up front fractions ~ and will not get them, yet is 2nd M/L. And needs heaven sent aqua at this crispy dry NJ location.
Tossing up the track runners here #2 Navy Cm. & #3 Rm. Union.
Runners left #1 Line Sailer, #4 Core Belief and adding "Delta" runner coming from lawn win @ 16-1 #7 Golden Brown who looks like he responds to distance and time needed for 9 panels.
Tri becomes ~ 6/ 1,4,5,7/ same
Cover for one's amount to be wagered above:
Same with # 6 keyed in the 2nd hole.

Thanks Dogs ,Haskell paid well ,made up for up ....up& down Saratoga meet so far.I thankfully will be at Saratoga aug 15 weekend,i got a feeling u are playing spa ,if you got a feeling ,I’m dancing in the ceiling

I switched to a straight bet vs exotics with such a short field in Haskell. Even without a backup ticket in Tri ..race ran short Tri $.
Yes, I do favor Spa meet. But...if I look at a card / DRF and it looks unhadicapable " I pass that day.
I usually pass up on races on a card. The unhandicapable" ones. Like under 6 fl on grass.
May go live to the Spa this year. Looking forward to it.
Stopped playing OTB on Sundays for a couple of yrs now, as I play jazz drums (and go to church after) If I like something can bet smile on ADW
Best regards,

Jim Dandy @ Spa such a small field doesn't warrant it's own thread with a six horse field @ 9 panels.
But Laoban in 2016 won this one as a maiden runner 2 yrs ago, and made head~shakers of horizontal tick players to this day.
Wired the field in a 6 horse event and retired thereafter with 1 win only in nine attempts.
Stay out of the DogHouse, enjoy the trip..life's and racing's. (d)

I am not exactly blown away by the three year olds that chased Justify throughout the TC. I always look for the late developers to make some noise over the latter half of the year. I was pretty impressed by the way Mr. Freeze ran away from the field in the stretch at Mountaineer today. I think Romans has a runner on his hands. In his only loss, a narrow one at that in the Iowa Derby, he was wide the whole race. He avenged that defeat by blowing the doors of High North in the West Virginia Derby. The To Honor And Serve colt, out of a Tabasco Cat mare completed the 9f in a respectable 1:47.95.

That WEST VA race does deserve respect. Weights were/are on light side.
I mentioned above grass @ Spa has wetski syndrome and dirt does fluctuate there with unreasonable rain fall.
The fav in WV had Baffert aura spin on it. That Bob colt ran on tight turn track in last and just got up.
Forwardly consider track surface from/to and weight! Wait! Weight.
