I don’t think he had an official breeze between the Derby and Preakness

I think whoever is sitting second on the backstretch wins this race. Spinoff or Tax.

I'm thinking one of these for the win:  Spinoff, Master Fencer, Sir Winston, Intrepid Heart.   I have a weird little formula I made up that points to those 4.

Just watched the Epsom Derby.Fantastic race.Baffert should watch Aiden O Briens interviews. The Guy always deflects attention from himself and always gives total credit to his whole crew.

But you know, there are tons of people that like the "always on", egotist, put-me-in-the-spotlight personalities--- it's as if what real class is (Mandella, et. al.) has been replaced in the american imagination by the Kardashians and people who have tacky gold-plated furniture in their apartments.  LOL   There are many who actually admire chad brown, consider it smart business to pay people as little as possible because wealth accumulation is the only goal.   (Same as those bragging about not paying any taxes, etc. ).

True.  He went from being a longshot to being the 2nd betting favorite in a day. I was surprised.

The debate --- which horse can run all day???  I think it's Master Fencer.

Well since he just jogs for the first half mile or so you may be right

all of them can run all day. they're thoroughbreds.

I never understood that expression.  LOL

But running all day isn't the same as running in a race, where you have to get to a certain point *first*.

At least Master Fencer won’t get pumped with lasix.I hated the end of his latest work. The exercise rider got way too whip happy.

Yeah, I wonder what that was all about?   I was thinking to myself that he was testing to see what direction horse would shy toward when whipped.  I guess better to find that out now than in a crowded field.   But most of these horses don't need whipping.  If properly trained, all they need is a "reminder" to turn on their afterburners, or "let's go!" kind of thing, like if they are gawking, etc.   Whipping them doesn't make them be able to run 5 more furlongs on wobbly legs, right?

Watching Game Winner get whipped multiple times just makes me sad.  I want to leap onto the screen and grab it away.

I edited out my early picks, as today I am looking at some new things that may make me change my mind on a few things.  At any rate, I really need to see post positions, even though they aren't that important for Belmont, one of my angles requires it.
