You, too, Dogs. :)

That's true, too.
I have nothing against Rosario as I've said more than once.
In the particular case of RYW, I thought Rispoli was especially well-suited.
It's in the rearview mirror now.
Onward & upward, Prince. :)

Gambling on the KY Derby in particular, is one of the few decisions where I allow a little bit of karma, intuition, etc. to play a role.
That would be where I insert the "luck" component.
Some people just have "strings" of bad luck, just like jockeys and trainers have cold spells. Rick Porter for instance, as an owner. So yea, I let a bit of that ju-ju stuff creep into my wagering.

All
Since 1952 when Wood began running 9 vs 8.5 panels..2021 Wood slowest ever. Husker has cooked breakfast faster.
Even though they gave me a record day...They definitely are never in my win slots. Beat me.

Every time I bet on Rosario/horse I have lost (if my memory serves me correctly). Does anyone know how many Derbies he has run in and won?

Rosario had ridden the Derby 9 times. He won on Orb in 2013.
I was just reading the article in DRF when you posted here so I had the info at my fingertips.
I had a bad string of racing luck with Mike Luzzi back in the day & it came to a head when I bet a horse he was riding at AQU in the slop. The horse (and Luzzi) had a clear lead & then yards from the wire, good ol' Mike came off - the horse went on to cross the wire first which kind of made it worse since there are no payouts for riderless winners! :)

I resemble that remark. :)

Rosario Won with Orb.
Many great riders never won one.
Mario Gutierrez rode his 1st two consecutive Derbys and won both I'll Have Another and Nyquist. And within a close span.
The Castellanos, Rosarios ride in the major point races as call riders. Get good potentials and attend the big days on many mounts with exponential $ purposes. Beyond. Say yearly breeding right.
You go where the bread is.
Take a look at who rode Hot Rod Charlie in his Lousiana Derby. For instance. You know who? And rode colts with points that sustained problems so not in.
Joel is at 7 million (mid April) in purses won. Leader board # 1. Irad is next. Irad Ortiz rides tons of runners every day/card. NYRA is flush with purse $. Casino.
Agents get 25% of jock pay.
They jockey the trainers for best mounts. And this agent doesn't have to beg.
When Rosario left Calf for NY; jocks there were thrilled and as one jock said: He ties up so many horses.

Thanks Dogs. I remember Gutierrez as I was on him both times. I wonder why he doesn’t get any Derby mounts anymore. I like Prado a lot too but he hasn’t been the same since Barbaro.
