Ben’s Legacy for the win! Rushing Fall baby brother just broke his maiden on the dirt at Oaklawn!

Instant Coffee looks like he should handle this group, I'll be playing with Confidence Game.....think that's why Cox scratched Tapit's to run in the non-points race, didn't think he could beat Coffee at this point of his development.

Forte is back on the work tab as of today.....my best guess is that Pletcher will breeze him 5 times in preparation for the FOY, then the FL Derby, in preparation for the Derby. I know it looks off for him to be the favorite as of now, but he really does deserve to be. I think he's too low to bet, but I understand the reasoning.....and I think he and Baffert's colt are still the ones to beat.

Not unexpectedly, Cox's two runners ran almost the same time in their respective races, though one on Lasix of course. Less than a length separated the two winners, though in the first race, the pace was much slower, by about 5 lengths at the 3/4. Not thinking any of this group will be good enough to contend for the win in the Derby.....

Its hard to say, with all of the Points races short fields so far it looks like
the plan is to race in Non Points Lasix races and wait for 50 pt to 100 pt winners share
with more foundation from Lasix races before racing in Points races with the most points
given out. I wonder if Cox will race Instant Coffee in a Lasix race sometime before the Derby.

Yes, that strategy may work......but as regards Instant Coffee, I really doubt it. Once in points races, why mess with Lasix races? Perhaps during workouts, but he'll wait, either run in the Derby preps in FG, or at least one more, or perhaps down to OP. I think for him, it will depend upon how his other contenders are training, and the strategies necessary to have them qualify for the Roses. I think he's actually the best at that, he's not afraid to ship to Turfway or Sunland for the points with the right horses

Funtastic, a stakes winning son of More Than Ready, produced Funtastic Again, winner of the Leonatus, a stakes race at Turfway today. He was pretty impressive against a overmatched field. Funtastic was a turfer, but being by MTR, he could well produce winners on any surface.

Check his pattern a L race in between non L races gives them a boost
Pletcher does the same, horses get a boost from Lasix , but its allowed in non points
races also its great at masking illegal drugs that are new, I'm not saying anybody is cheating
without proof. It raises red flags to me. I try to think like a cheater with all of the drugs out there
I think the TC races shouldn't have anybody race that has used Lasix, Some horses don't
Is it a level playing field for them, Lasix Free Like Epicenter, Does Cyberknife deserve
3 year old of the year running races on Lasix and finishing behind them on L free races.
18th in the Derby. etc Transparent. Ask him why mess with Lasix races, good question
