Really.
"Beta Bob" has morphed into "Boo-Hoo Bob" right before our eyes. Playing the victim.

Here is the last free Past performance and entries at our site here for Baffert, looks like he's done for awhile.
click on this link and click on Bob Baffert at the Free past perfomances list with the trainers and owners that

Good catch, Rob. Interesting absence of entries.
I'm sure you saw that Boo-Hoo does have at least 2 and maybe 3 going next weekend at Meydan. That's the only exception I can think of.
3/21/22
Long standing relationships, in some cases friendships, in other cases a continued disbelief that Boo-Hoo will be subject to accountability. Who knows for sure??
Even though the court denied the stay of suspension today but has held the suspension to begin on 4/4/22 to give Baffert's hack lawyers a chance to plead his case at the court of appeals.
I'm glad the judge didn't buy the BS from Beta's lawyers...
3/21/22
Maybe the court is sending a message not just to Baffert but the entire racing industry that they can no longer use the legal system as a way to avoid punishments. Since it seems this happens too often, so this judge is taking a stand, enough is enough.
3/21/22
Judge Wingate did a thorough job of knocking down the defense's argument, point by point. It's typical of Baffert, though, to try to squirm out of accountability.
I think you have a valid point, Tex, and I hope you are correct.
A clean, squared away sport has a chance to reinvigorate itself.
3/21/22
The industry has no chance if it continues to refuse to police itself and needs the courts to do the job for them. When do you see NFL, NBA, NHL, etc participants use the legal system to avoid penalties?
Why I used the word "maybe". It's not the court's job to save racing. But is their job to disallow appeals if the arguments aren't convincing enough.
3/21/22
The judge didn't say it exactly word for word but I read it as "I know in the past you'd all come here and we'd just automatically rubber-stamp stays and appeals so you never have to serve any penalties. Guess what, that tradition should never have started, but regardless of that, I'm ending it today."
Kentucky has a history of enabling this stuff (two words: ALEX HARTHILL) so it's about time somebody takes a stand.
