I was just informed by a forum friend, that my beloved More Than Ready has gone on to "greener pastures"! Although I knew he was getting up in age, his continued performance in the shed, made me hope for a few more years. I'm a bit numb right now, as I had come to love this animal from afar! He gave me thrills as a runner, but far more through his progeny! I hope at least one of his young stallions will step into his large shoes as a producer, and capture a TC race; just about the only thing that eluded him. Thank goodness for Catholic Boy, who gave him a Travers win at the 10f classic distance. I will follow closely these last crops that he sired, and hope that a few will show themselves to be more than ready for the big time! Rest easy, MTR!

In the pantheon of great sires, without a doubt in anyone's mind, Rae. Your interest sparked my interest. Thanks, my friend. All the best clover to MTR.

Over the many many years Dogs has read and looked; listened and studied what others had to contribute about racing. And specifically.
And truthfully, I can't think of anyone beyond you that was so passionate, yet so very right about their horse and sire.

One of the things I’ve noticed over the years, is I can’t recall one of his offspring that balked at, or acted up in, the gate. He always seemed to pass on that cool professional demeanor! I think that’s a sign of exceptional intelligence.
