Can I lock a thread, but keep it at the top of the thread list?
Like a general information thread.
Not in a Classic Forum, but in Zeta forums you can create an announcement that shows to everyone the first time they enter the forum.
I have the forum in Zeta. It's a long story, but it is an emergency forum for hundreds of BFG refugees who are losing their forum home.
It is my second forum, and still under construction.
It is a forum dedicated to a FTP game. So some threads are strategy guides, or quest lists. I would hate for them to be buried or lost because I locked them. I know the simplest way to keep them active is to bump, but that is a risky prospect in what is proving to be a VERY busy forum.
Just one week of no bumping and all that work is lost to the void!
Also, while I host this new forum - and it showed originally as one of my hosted forums - it has slipped down into my favourites list, instead of up top, where it should be.
Have I done something wrong?
Totally appreciate any help you can give.
1. - The announcement can point to your locked thread. You'll need to renew it monthly but that's it.
2. You probably clicked on Follow - In Controls, under Settings click on Ownership and Status. Where it's asking for New Owner type in Zarknorph and hit Update. If that does not work let me know.
I DID click follow.
Love you, Kid!
So how do I create an announcement that stays "sticky"?
Did what you said.
Has not worked so far.
I can still access the controls and change stuff... although I did get an orange NO when I tried one thing...
Ooo what was that?
Hmmm it worked for me - Gunter can you help Jen out
A Guide to Zeta Forum Controls can be found here
The process is pretty straight forward but if you need better instructions let me know here and I can do them after work.
There was a small disclaimer at the bottom...
Ownership and Status *You may wish to pass your forum ownership to another member or close your forum altogether.
I am asking for assistance.
