Born in Winnipeg, Canada, Robin “Robbie” Bachman founded the band Brave Belt in 1971, alongside Randy and Chad Allan, both of whom had left the band The Guess Who a year earlier. They were later joined by bassist Fred Turner and recorded two albums.
Musician Robbie Bachman dies at age 69; was drummer for Bachman-Turner Overdrive.
He and brother Randy were co-founders of the Canadian band, which had such '70s-era hits as "Takin' Care of Business" and "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet" Robbie Bachman -- the drummer of Canadian rock band Bachman-Turner Overdrive -- has died at age 69, his brother and bandmate Randy Bachman announced via Twitter on Thursday.

The band, which continued to tour in various formations as BTO and Bachman-Turner Overdrive for many years, was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2014.

Primal Scream keyboardist Martin Duffy has died at the age of 55. The news was confirmed by his former band mate Tim Burgess.
Duffy was born in Birmingham on May 18, 1967 and grew up in the Rednal area of the city. One of his first ventures into music was with the indie band Felt. He then went on to play in Primal Scream for three decades, becoming an integral part of their rise to fame. The band entered their 40th year of existence in 2022.
