" Apple is expected to release the iOS 10.3 update before the month is out, and it's vital that you have an effective backup mechanism in place for your iPhone before you upgrade. Here's why. "

Thank G_d I backed up before the upgrade. A lot of my programs would not work with the new OS. MS office being one and 1password being the two top ones I would miss a lot and had all my passwords in it. I was able to do a restore from my backup and things seem to be the same. Btw it seems that the new OS wants you to use MS Office 16 and none below.

Just got patches yesterday so maybe it got fixed? Did you try the Beta or something? I have Office 365 so updates are automatic so hope they fixed it. 10.3.3 is not officially released. They even recommend not just a Cloud backup but an iTunes backup on a Mac or Win as well. How ya doin'? Hadn't seen a post in a while.

Here is the reason you most assuredly need to back up:

Thankfully I had done a total backup with iTunes and was able to go back to 10.11.6 All is working fine now. I hate upgrades they always have to work the kinks out at my expense. Another reason to keep your updates current. I backup to an external drive.

I had a lower version of MS office but deleted it and installed Office 16 which appears to be faster and works better. I like Outlook a lot better then mac mail. Old dogs can't change to new ways very easy so I stayed with Outlook.

No I didn't do the Beta, I had a notification on my mac that there was an update. I have learned long ago never do an update unless you have a backup.
