Journalist Reads Filthy Porn Book from School's Library at FL School Board Meeting - Board Members Call Police to Have Him Forcefully Removed for Reading Obscene Content Aloud

In Orange County, Florida on Tuesday, this Gateway Pundit contributor attended the Orange County Public Schools board meeting to document the discussion on their illegal mask mandate, which is in violation of Governor DeSantis’ executive order banning such mandates on students.

The Orange County School Board is one of a handful of Florida’s 67 county boards that have flouted the governor’s order, even as the courts have sided with the DeSantis administration pending current litigation of the matter.

The book, Gender Queer: A Memoir by Maia Kobabe, a graphic novel with drawings that explains in lurid detail the sexual interactions between two young men, has been inserted into high school libraries across America, despite it violating guidelines against pornography or sexually explicit materials being provided to minors and paid for with our tax dollars.

Gender Queer includes countless images of male-on-male sexual encounters, accompanied by words that one would expect to find inside literary works at adult pornography shops or gay sex clubs and bathhouses. Even so, this book was purchased and pushed by school officials at Boone High School in Orlando, Florida, despite it clearly violating county guidelines. ~~~~~~~~~~

After reading aloud a portion of just one section, which included the characters in Gender Queer discussing the use of strap-on dildos and performing oral sex on one another, OCPS Chairman Teresa Jacobs demanded this journalist cease reading the passage. After refusing to do so, she instructed OCPS police officers to eject this journalist from the meeting by force. ~~~~~~~~~

Parents sitting in the front row were outraged over the removal and excuse by OCPS Board Chair Teresa Jacobs, who claimed she had “no idea” the book was in the classroom, to which the parents replied “that’s the problem.”

Brevard County Public Schools, which neighbors Orange County, immediately pulled the book from schools after they were made aware that students had access to it, for violating district guidelines. School Board districts in Virginia have also recently pulled Gender Queer for similar reasons. 

State Representative Anthony Sabatini, who is running to represent Orange County in the United States Congress in Florida’s 7th congressional district, is calling on the OCPS School Board to resign immediately in wake of the news about Gender Queer.

      “It’s inappropriate to take children to a bar — any type of bar — on a school field trip, when there are numerous educational and age-appropriate options,”

       I have a couple issues with this statement. Yes it is inappropriate to take children to A BAR, but it is far MORE inappropriate to take them to a GAY BAR. Also, the implication of this statement is that taking children to a bar might be appropriate if there were not OTHER educational and age-appropriate options. I'm sure that wasn't meant, but it could have been worded differently.

Florida elementary school defends field trip to gay bar as part of ‘community’ education

Broward County Public Schools has come out in defense of one of its elementary schools taking children on a field trip to a gay bar with sexually-charged names for menu items, calling it an example of how kids learn about a community.

Rosie’s Bar and Grill says it wants to see customers “whether you are LBGTQ+ or an ally.”

As covered by LifeSiteNews last week, Broward County School Board member Sarah Leonardi posted on Facebook that she “was SO honored to be invited to chaperone Wilton Manors Elementary’s field trip to the incredible Rosie’s!”

“Wilton Manors Elementary School offers a Unit of Inquiry called, ‘How we organize ourselves,’” the school said in an undated news release from last week. “In the unit, students learn about neighborhood safety, community helpers, the importance of being a community member, what it takes for a community to be successful, different jobs in a community, and social skills when interacting with others.”

“They also visit a local restaurant, Rosie’s Bar and Grill, which is within walking distance from the school and opens early for the students,” the district said.

“The bar and restaurant was not open to the general public while students were present inside,” the district maintained. “When the business opened, students transitioned to a separate, outside location to order and eat their meals. The students order their meals from a student-friendly paper menu that has three child-friendly choices.”

“They learn about the types of jobs involved in operating a restaurant, how to pay for their meal, and how to leave a tip for the service they receive,” the public school district said.

The district’s actions are being investigated by the Florida state department of education according to a spokesperson for Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis.

“It’s inappropriate to take children to a bar — any type of bar — on a school field trip, when there are numerous educational and age-appropriate options,” DeSantis spokesperson Christina Pushaw told LifeSiteNews on October 28. “The Florida Department of Education is aware of this incident and has opened an investigation.”

“This appears to be the latest example of political activism from a Broward County School Board member,” Pushaw told LifeSiteNews last week. “For more than two months, the Broward school board has been violating Florida law by taking away parents’ rights to choose whether their own children wear masks to school or not.”

Not only did the Boy Scouts end their identity as an exclusively male institution when they opened the organization to girls in 2019, they’re also the latest to cave to the nationwide push for critical race theory, or as they and others euphemistically call it, “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.” 

At the very beginning of this month, the national organization announced a new merit badge entitled “Citizenship in Society,” that will become a required merit badge for those pursuing the rank of Eagle Scout in July 2022. Citizenship in The World, Citizenship in The Nation, and Citizenship in The Community are already required merit badges, each of which I quite enjoyed. So what’s Citizenship in Society?

Consider the “Resources” section of the guide, which are optional and require parent permission before being shown to children, but are nevertheless provided with the intention of influencing the counselors. 

One such resource is the “All My Relations” podcast, which focuses on the Native American experience and features episodes titled “Decolonizing Sex,” “Celebrate Indigenous Peoples, Not Columbus,” and “Indigiqueer.” Flag folding is so last year. What we really need are Eagle Scouts who understand the Native American LGBT sexual experience!

CRT Isn't IN the Curriculum, It's THE LANGUAGE of the Curriculum

The organized, political Left lies... a lot. And the organized political Left in the media (reporters, editors, producers, anchors, pundits, etc.) lie more audaciously than even their counterparts in elected office. One of the most damnable and bald-faced lies coming out of the Virginia election this year has been the mantra that "Critical Race Theory is not in the curriculum" at government-run schools. 

When the ill-fated Terry McAuliffe campaign started to veer off the rails this summer, it began with the erstwhile Clinton bagman proclaimed CRT was a "right-wing conspiracy" that was "totally made up by Donald Trump and Glenn Youngkin." 

The media then took this talking point and incorporated it into every segment where the topic of parents' rights and input in the education of their children in public schools was raised as the hot topic in the election that it clearly was. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ 

But it is a deception not worthy of the best liars in the media. For instance, it's accurate to say in your local school's math curriculum, English is not taught, right? When teaching arithmetic or long division (do they still teach long division?) or even advanced trigonometry, your kids' favorite math teacher does not teach English composition or grammar or anything else related to the English language. 

So, it is fair to say that English is not in the math curriculum. But, English is used to communicate the math curriculum. It is the language and framework recommended to convey the math curriculum. 

That is how CRT has infiltrated the government school lesson plans. CRT is the language used to instruct. When a vocabulary or spelling lesson involves learning the words "whiteness," "privilege" and "oppressor," CRT is being used as the language and framework of the spelling lesson. 

When a reading lesson provides a selection of books all focusing on "racial justice" for next week's book report, CRT is being used as the language and framework for that reading lesson plan.

When the Seattle school system divided its math instruction into themes of "Origins, Identity, and Agency"; "Power and Oppression"; "History of Resistance and Liberation"; and "Reflection and Action," they have moved well beyond 2+2=4 and have adopted CRT as the language and framework for the math lesson plans.
