How the left is planning to steal your vote

Frank Wright, Ph.D., cites 5 strategies that jeopardize 'the American Experiment'

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What follows is a list of left-wing tactics in this regard:
  • Attack the Electoral College. The Electoral College was included in the U.S. Constitution to make sure the votes of all Americans are counted – not just those from the most populous states. The left today is calling for the abolition of the Electoral College by any means – fair or foul.
  • Degrade the integrity of voter registrations. In this case, everything from automatic voter registration to same-day registration and voting (without any verification) to the failure to keep the voter rolls clean are designed to muddy the waters, to degrade the integrity of the voter rolls, and to enable illegal voter registration and voting.
  • Manipulation of the election ballot. Here the problems range from "ranked choice" name presentation on the ballot to confusing language – all designed to favor one candidate over another and to confuse young and elderly voters.
  • Corrupt recounts. The state of Florida is a great example of criminal corruption in the recount process, with Broward and Palm Beach counties being ground zero. In close elections requiring recounts, local election officials reactivated ballots disqualified by law and discarded other legitimate ones to change the election outcome. These two counties also were prime suspects in the hotly contested 2000 election – when the phrase "hanging chad" entered the cultural lexicon.
  • Ballot harvesting. This is the process of having union members and other partisan volunteers go house to house looking for absentee ballots that were never returned. Their efforts in California, Arizona and North Carolina were very productive in 2016, where the election results were overturned in multiple congressional districts by the newly located ballots. In California alone 250,000 ballots were "discovered" in 2016.
All these efforts comprise a coordinated effort to steal the vote – to reject the will of "we the people" and to ensure the election of left-wing candidates. And in one respect these things are not surprising. When there is no commitment to truth, there is no commitment to freedom. The holy grail becomes the acquisition of power by whatever means necessary.
So here we are. While the hallmark of America's freedom is that we elect our own rulers, others are committed to steal, kill and destroy that freedom by any means – all in pursuit of their fevered vision of a socialist utopia. We must stand and defend that freedom, recognizing that more than election outcomes are at risk. The rule of law and the American Experiment itself is at risk.
        The Democrat idea is to focus fraudulent mail-in votes on close elections and swing states. It is perverse.
Here’s Why Obama Wants Mail-in Voting: 16.4 Million Mail-in Ballots Went Missing in 2016, 2018 Elections
Partisan hack and ABC News reporter Jon Karl asked President Trump about mail-in voting at the daily coronavirus press briefing last week.
Karl and his Democrat colleagues are using the current crisis to push for mail-in voting. This is something Democrats desperately want to make into law because they know it’s easier to cheat that way.
President Trump told Karl “no” because people cheat with mail-in voting.
Jon Karl: Do you think every single state in this country should be prepared for mail-in voting?
President Trump: No, because I think a lot of people cheat with mail-in voting. I think people should vote with voter ID. I think voter ID is very important. And the reason they don’t want voter ID is because they intend to cheat. When you buy something you look at your cards and credit cards and you have your picture on many of them. Not all of them but many of them. You should have a picture for voting. It should be called voter ID. And it shouldn’t be mail-in. Excuse me. It shouldn’t be mail-in voting. You should go to a booth and you proudly display yourself. You don’t send it in the mail where all sorts of bad things can happen by the time they sign it, if they sign it. By the time it gets and its tabulated. No, it shouldn’t be mailed in. You should vote at the booth and you should have voter ID. Because you have voter ID that’s the real deal.
If the coronavirus is still killing thousands of people a day in October this country’s economy will be finished.
Democrats won’t have to worry about mail-in voting.
President Trump was right!
According to federal data around 16.4 million ballots went missing during the 2016 and 2018 elections.
Via Breitbart.
About 16.4 million mail-in ballots went missing in the 2016 and 2018 elections, data provided to Breitbart News reveals.
The data from the U.S. Election Assistance Commission and the Election Administration and Voting Surveys for 2016 and 2018, provided by the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), shows that between the 2016 and 2018 elections, roughly 16.4 million ballots mailed to registered voters went missing.
In the 2018 election, about 42.4 million ballots were mailed to registered voters. Of those mailed, more than one million were undeliverable, more than 430,000 were rejected, and nearly 10.5 million went missing.
The 2016 election showed similar discrepancies. That year, about 41.6 million ballots were mailed to registered voters. Of those mailed, more than 568,000 were undeliverable, nearly 320,000 were rejected, and close to six million went missing.
“Putting the election in the hands of the United States Postal Service would be a catastrophe. In 2018 and 2016, there were 16 million missing and misdirected ballots,” PILF President J. Christian Adams said in a statement.
Democrat Plan Could Mail Ballots to 24M Ineligible Voters
Government Accountability Insititute (GAI) research director Eric Eggers, author of Fraud: How the Left Plans to Steal the Next Election, says the Democrats’ plan for nationwide mail-in voting would send ballots to 24 million inaccurate and flawed voter registrations.
“The concern I have if we’re trying to mandate national mail-in elections — which by the way was part of the language that Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats inserted in the first version of the most recent stimulus package — would be that we have such massive problems with voter rolls in this country,” Eggers said. “So, now are we going to be mailing ballots to people that authentically don’t exist and or are ineligible voters?”
A 2012 study by Pew Research Center revealed that there are 24 million ineligible or inaccurate voter registrations on state voter rolls. This means 1-in-8 voter registrations are either no longer valid or invalid.
Eggers said mail-in voting ensures voters associated with those flawed voter registrations would get the chance to vote in the 2020 presidential election.
“If you have national mail-in ballots where the supervisor of elections are mailing ballots to everybody on the voter rolls and we know per Pew [Research] Center statistics that we’ve got at least 24 million flawed or inaccurate voter registrations in this country,” Eggers said. “That’s 24 million ballots that are potentially going to people with the wrong address or to people that are dead or to people that have double registered.”
Similarly, nationwide mail-in voting would almost certainly be tied to federal legalization of ballot harvesting, where political operatives are allowed to collect and deliver an endless number of absentee ballots from voters.
“You’ve got these paid political machines whose job it is to manipulate or to capitalize on those errors … the other problem I’d have is another part that was mandated in the Democrat-version of the stimulus bill which would be the legalization of … national ballot harvesting,” Eggers said.
“Democrats are so concerned about the necessity of social distancing but by legalizing ballot harvesting, you’re literally sending in many cases young potentially asymptomatic carriers of the [coronavirus] to the homes of these vulnerable populations including the elderly and the infirm who we all know are more susceptible to the virus,” Eggers continued.
As Breitbart News reported, the George Soros-funded Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law is spearheading the nationwide mail-in voting initiative.
Today, there are nearly 250 counties across the United States with more registered voters on the voter rolls than eligible citizen voters. There are also nearly three million individuals who are registered to vote in more than one state.
Trump criticism too late: Swing states already have mail-in voting
President Trump's public disapproval of mail-in voting might come too late to make a difference for the 2020 election.
The six most important swing states for the Electoral College map — Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Florida, and North Carolina — all allow voters to request mail-in or absentee ballots for any reason. Large percentages of voters in Florida and Arizona, where voters can opt to receive ballots by mail automatically, have voted absentee for the last decade.
New laws enacted in the last two years in Pennsylvania and Michigan mean that more people in swing states will have access to mail-in ballots than in 2016.
The liberal policies allow many more people in critical states to vote than Trump would like. In a tweet Wednesday, the president indicated that he only approved of mail-in absentee ballots for “senior citizens, military, and others who can’t get to the polls on Election Day.”
“These ballots are very different from 100% Mail-In Voting, which is ‘RIPE for FRAUD,’ and shouldn’t be allowed!” Trump wrote.
While none of the swing states have 100% vote-by-mail like Washington state and Oregon, the practice is expanding.
The Census Bureau estimated that about 1 in 5 voters cast a ballot by mail in 2016, up from 1 in 10 voters in 2000. In three major swing states — Arizona, Florida, and North Carolina — more than 65% of votes in the 2016 election were cast early in person, by mail, or absentee.
Trump’s criticism of mail-in voting comes as Democrats call for increasing the practice because of the coronavirus pandemic, while Republicans block the expansion.
The Story Behind New Mexico’s Victory Over Vote-Fraud-Protection-Free Mail-In Voting
The coronavirus pandemic has renewed Democrat demands for changing our elections to mail-in balloting. The tip of the spear was their lawsuit in the New Mexico Supreme Court where Democrat public officials demanded that the Court order all mail-in balloting for the primary election on June 2, prohibiting absentee and in-person balloting.
In a stunning decision late Tuesday, after a two-hour oral argument, the New Mexico Supreme Court refused. If Democrats had won, they would have taken that decision nationwide.
As Breitbart News reported, True The Vote filed an amicus brief, prepared by The Bopp Law Firm on behalf of New Mexico voters, arguing that, if the court had ordered mail-in balloting, where ballots are just mailed wholesale to all registered voter, the right to vote of eligible registered voters would be violated. A federal lawsuit was in the works if the New Mexico Supreme Court had jumped off that cliff, but they didn’t.
Prior to this crisis, several states had adopted mail-in balloting, such as Washington, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Hawaii. But this year, these demands have intensified, and state officials have responded by imposing mail-in balloting by fiat, such as in Nevada, or by asking state or federal courts in New Mexico and Texas to impose mail-in balloting contrary to state law.
Mail-in balloting schemes impose significant fraud-inviting changes in voting. The mail-in balloting scheme Democrats argued for in New Mexico would strip away the substantial protections against voter fraud that exist in absentee and in-person voting procedures.
Thus, not all “voting by mail” is the same. Vote fraud protections in absentee balloting are much more substantial, which is why Democrats want to replace that with their mail-in balloting schemes.
The most important fraud protection incorporated into absentee balloting in New Mexico and almost all states is that a voter must request, by application under penalty of perjury, an absentee ballot for the upcoming election. This ensures that the voter is actually alive, what the person’s current address is, and provides an audit trail. A prior application also allows election officials and others time to verify the voter’s existence and eligibility. The mail-in balloting scheme Democrats wanted in New Mexico does not require an application, just wholesale mailing of ballots to all registered voters.
Furthermore, the New Mexico Democrats wanted to abolish in-person voting. Of course, in-person voting procedures in New Mexico have substantial fraud protections, such as poll watchers and voter ID requirements. And in-person voting is also a fail-safe for voters who decide to vote right before an election, who didn’t receive mail-in ballots, or who have been out-of-state. Until recently, all states have historically agreed that voter fraud protections make sense to protect the integrity of and faith in our elections, but mail-in balloting would strip them away. This would “increase the risk of fraud,” as the bipartisan 2005 Carter Baker Commission Report found.
But it is not just good policy that requires the vote fraud protections. As explained in the True The Vote amicus brief in the New Mexico Supreme Court, since the 1964 U.S. Supreme Court decision in Reynolds v. Sims, the Court has recognized “the right of all qualified citizens to vote” and that the right to vote can be infringed by being “denied outright” and by being “destroyed by alteration of ballots [or] diluted by ballot-box stuffing.” Everyone champions the first, but Democrats ignore the second.
So fraud prevention measures are designed to protect the constitutional right to vote by preventing vote dilution — as in the dilution of the vote of eligible, registered voters by the votes of illegal voters. Failure to have adequate fraud protection measures, such as in the mail-in voting scheme championed by New Mexico Democrats, violates the right to vote.
The recent Wisconsin primary has demonstrated two things about this: that absentee balloting is a viable option to in-person voting (so we don’t need to strip away major fraud-prevention protections to make it work) and that there are pitfalls with mail balloting.
With the outbreak of the coronavirus, applications for traditional absentee ballots in Wisconsin skyrocketed. In the 2016 spring election, about 250,000 voters voted absentee, but last week more that 850,000 voters cast absentee ballots by election day out of 1.2 million requested, an estimated 81% return rate. Furthermore, despite the heath concerns, the turnout was higher, as a percentage of voting age population, than the average turnout for the last 32 years.
California State Election Official Confirms Double-Voting by Mail in Super Tuesday Primary
California Secretary of State Alex Padilla has confirmed that double-voting by mail took place in the March 3, 2020, Super Tuesday primary, Breitbart News has exclusively learned. Days before Super Tuesday, citizen watchdog group Election Integrity Project California sent a letter to Padilla requesting his office look into possible double voting in the 2020 primary election.
More than a month later, in a letter dated April 7, 2020, Padilla confirmed double-voting in one case and suspected double-voting by a number of other registered voters on Super Tuesday, according to the letter obtained by Breitbart News.
Padilla confirmed in at least one case that two ballots from one voter were “opened and counted on election night.” Twelve of the 15 total registered voters identified with “duplicate voting history” are “suspected to have cast two ballots for the March primary election,” Padilla wrote in the letter.
In the remaining two cases, Padilla said county election officials “caught the duplicate voter records prior to election day and only one vote was tallied.” Padilla said the findings have been “forwarded to investigators to follow-up as necessary with the voters.”
“Election Integrity Project California has an incredible accomplishment here. Moving the California Secretary of State to share evidence of apparent double voting among duplicated registrants is a testament to their research methodology and judgment,” Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) President J. Christian Adams told Breitbart News.
“Duplicate registration and voting is a growing problem nationally that is being confronted like seen here, New Mexico, Michigan, and Pennsylvania,” Adams said.
Election Integrity Project California alleges that there are more than 30,000 duplicated registered voters on the state’s voter rolls. The majority of these duplicated registered voters, they say, show the same name, address, and birth date on their registrations. Other duplicated registered voters show voters who have used their married and maiden names to register twice and those who have multiple home addresses.
California is not the only state to have issues with its voter rolls. Most recently, PILF researchers stated that there are nearly 1,700 dead people on New Mexico’s voter rolls, as well as 1,519 voters listed as being 100-years-old, and more than 3,100 voters who have been flagged due to duplicate registration concerns.
Likewise, in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania — home to Pittsburgh — PILF researchers have said there are nearly 1,600 dead people on the voter rolls, along with more than 1,500 voters who are listed as 100-years-old or over, and nearly 7,500 voters who have been flagged due to duplicate registration concerns.
In Detroit, Michigan, alone, close to 4,800 voters have been flagged as having potential duplicate voter registrations, allowing them to vote twice in elections, and possibly 2,500 dead people on the voter rolls.
The findings come as elected Democrats lobby for nationwide mail-in voting for the November presidential elections — a move that would potentially deliver ballots to an estimated 24 million ineligible voters. The plan is being bankrolled by organizations funded by billionaire George Soros.
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/an-all-mail-election-would-be-rife-with-fraud
An all-mail election would be rife with fraud
During my reelection campaign for Congress in 2012, I traveled throughout my expansive district and knocked on many doors. Some people I met responded, “I’m sorry, I’m not a citizen so I don’t vote.” This was puzzling since I was knocking on their door precisely because their name was on a voter registration list provided to me by the state.
I also visited empty lots, addresses with multiple names, and mailboxes (not residences) matching the names on my voter rolls. How did those names get on the list? I thought about those visits as I recently heard former Vice President Joe Biden endorse an all-mail voting process in November because of the COVID-19 pandemic. “We should be looking to al-mail ballots across the board to begin with because it's an easy an easy way for people to vote,” he told NBC’s Chuck Todd.
And now, Texas Democrats have sued to expand mail-in ballots for upcoming elections here.
Will those ineligible voters on my list get ballots? What about those empty lots? Those mail drops? This isn’t an academic question. The integrity of our elections is fundamental to our confidence in our system of government. Our vote is our guarantor of the rule of law, popular sovereignty, and individual freedom. It is our right as citizens to vote, and voting means our right will not be canceled by ineligible voters.
Mail-in ballots carry risks of fraud and abuse even more so in abnormal times. As with much else during the ongoing pandemic, we must ensure that the cure is not worse than the disease.
First, policymakers may underestimate the sheer logistics in converting elections to all ballot by mail. Texas alone has 16 million registered voters, and the election process is organized around the state’s 254 counties, all with separate processes, machines, and staffing. Upending the established election procedures in a rush to meet November election deadlines may not only prove harmful, but simply impossible.
While necessary for voters who truly can’t get to the polls, ballot-by-mail is rife with risk, and the ability to manage those risks decreases with broad expansion of the practice.
Unlike voting in person, ballot-by-mail has a broken chain of custody. In that process, ballots can be lost, stolen, or even forged. It takes the actual casting of ballots out of the controlled and regulated polling place and shifts it to unmonitored environments where intimidation, confusion, and simple fraud can take place.
It also subverts voter ID laws in the states that have them.
Proponents of all-mail in ballot elections point to the states of Washington, Colorado, and Oregon as examples of where it supposedly works. But the problems presented by such elections go far beyond ballot harvesting.
In some areas of Texas, for example, politiqueros are sought after by candidates hoping to benefit from their no-questions-asked ballot harvesting services. In 2004, for example, I worked in a state representative’s campaign. He lost the election by a mere 350 or so votes, despite polls showing otherwise. We later discovered that more than 2,500 mail-in ballots in that election were defective on their face. Most, if not all, of these votes were harvested from senior citizens homes and retirement communities.
Mail-in balloting is also a far less secure system for legitimate voters. As the Christian Science Monitor points out, some 33 million mail-in ballots were cast in the 2016 presidential election. Yet, about 400,000 of them didn’t count — they were thrown out, “having been disqualified for reasons ranging from invalid signatures to simply being late.” Clearly, it’s an imprecise system that can allow fraudulent ballots to count while tossing out legitimate ones.
        “Ballot harvesting” was legalized in California in 2016, and first used in the 2018 midterm elections. It allows anyone to drop off someone else’s mail-in ballot at a polling station. There is no process for vetting or verifying those delivering the ballots — no background checks or identification requirements. Democrats dropped hundreds of thousands of ballots off at polling stations in 2018, helping Democrats as they flipped seven Republican seats."
         Ballot harvesting is like robbing Fort Knox for Democrats.
California GOP Asks Gavin Newsom to Stop ‘Ballot Harvesting’ Due to Coronavirus
The California Republican Party sent a letter to Gov. Gavin Newsom on Monday asking that he suspend the practice of “ballot harvesting” for special elections May 12, due to the risk of personal contact during the coronavirus outbreak.
“Ballot harvesting” was legalized in California in 2016, and first used in the 2018 midterm elections. It allows anyone to drop off someone else’s mail-in ballot at a polling station. There is no process for vetting or verifying those delivering the ballots — no background checks or identification requirements. Democrats dropped hundreds of thousands of ballots off at polling stations in 2018, helping Democrats as they flipped seven Republican seats.
Ballot harvesting requires the person collecting ballots to do so directly from the people completing their ballots.
Accordingly, the California GOP has asked Newsom to stop the practice, in a letter obtained by the California Globe:
It is true that in-person voting presents risks to public health and safety in light of COVID-19. It is also true that other activities in connection with voting present the same risk (or even higher) that must be mitigated during this historic event.
As you know, Section 3017 of the Elections Code ordinarily allows a vote by mail voter to “designate any person to return the ballot to the elections official who issue the ballot” on their behalf. (Elec. Code § 3017(a)(2).)
During normal times, this may involve a stranger visiting a voter’s home and offering to return the voter’s ballot to the elections official. During these times, this activity presents an intolerable risk to public health and safety.
For the health and safety of voters in the 25th Congressional District and the 28th Senate District, and any other voters casting a ballot in the near future, we request that you make it clear that the existing Stay-at-Home Order prohibits collection of ballots by persons who do not live in the same household as the voter. At this time, this activity is a threat to the health and well-being of Californians because it violates social distancing measures and causes the exchange of a physical item that has been in a person’s household and likely contains saliva which is known to spread COVID-19. Furthermore, it is highly unlikely that we will meet all six criteria you set yesterday to reopen the state by May 12th.
The special election in the 25th congressional district is being watched especially closely. Katie Hill (D) unseated Rep. Steve Knight (R) in 2018, but resigned over a sex scandal. The candidates in the special election are State Assemblywoman Christy Smith (D-Santa Clarita) and former U.S. Navy fighter pilot Mike Garcia (R). The election will be entirely by mail-in ballots.
Democrats tried to make ballot harvesting a required national institution in Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s proposal for the first coronavirus relief bill. They are still trying to mandate national vote by mail and ballot harvesting in relief bills.
15 Election Results That Were Thrown Out Because of Fraudulent Mail-In Ballots
Voter fraud is too nominal to make a difference in any given election, goes one popular line of argument. But tell that to voters in parts of Florida, Missouri, New York, and North Carolina in recent years.
Districts in these four states saw election outcomes overturned after absentee voter fraud came to light.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Here are 15 instances in which courts threw out an election result based in whole or in part on absentee voting fraud, from The Heritage Foundation’s database and other sources.

  • In one of the most high profile cases, the North Carolina Board of Elections decertified the outcome of the 2018 race in the 9th Congressional District and ordered a new election after evidence of absentee ballot fraud emerged. About 61% of all mailed votes were cast for Republican candidate Mark Harris over Democrat Dan McReady, although only 16% of those requesting a ballot were Republicans. In the new election, Republican Dan Bishop stepped in as the party nominee and won.
  • In 2018, Dennis Jones beat Tracy Gray by one vote in a Republican primary in Texas for a seat on the Kaufman County Commissioners Court. Gray challenged the outcome, alleging a vote harvester submitted illegal mail-in ballots, while eligible provisional ballots went uncounted. After a hearing, a state judge invalidated the results and ordered a new election, which Gray won by 404 votes.
  • In another 2018 Texas case, Armando O’Cana seemingly won a run-off race for mayor in Mission, Texas, beating incumbent Norberto “Beto” Salinas. But after strong evidence emerged that O’Cana’s campaign had bribed voters, tampered with absentee ballots, and improperly “assisted” voters at the polls, state Judge J. Bonner Dorsey invalidated the result, saying: “I hold or find, by clear and convincing evidence, that the number of illegal votes was in excess of 158.”
  • In 2017, Eatonville, Florida Mayor Anthony Grant was convicted of a felony charge of voting fraud and misdemeanor absentee voting violations. Prosecutors said that as a candidate in 2015, Grant coerced absentee voters to cast ballots for him. In at least one case, prosecutors said, Grant personally solicited an absentee vote from a nonresident. Grant, a former mayor, lost the in-person vote but won the election with more than twice the number of absentee ballots that incumbent Bruce Mount got. After Grant’s indictment, then-Gov. Rick Scott suspended the mayor. After his conviction, he was sentenced to 400 hours of community service and four years’ probation.

This case was more than a decade after the Florida Department of Law Enforcement concluded: “The absentee ballot is the ‘tool of choice’ for those who are engaging in election fraud.”

This 1998 report came after the department concluded an investigation of Miami’s mayoral election the year before. A judge had thrown out the result after prosecutors brought  a massive fraud case that involved more than 5,000 absentee ballots.

  • In 2017, an Alabama state judge reversed the result of a race for Wetumpka City Council in which incumbent Percy Gill appeared to have won by three votes. Gill’s opponent, Lewis Washington, contested the outcome. A trial showed eight absentee ballots cast for Gill either had a forged signature or weren’t notarized or signed in front of the requisite number of witnesses.
  • In the 2016 race for mayor of Gordon, Alabama, Elbert Melton won by just 16 votes. Melton later was convicted on two counts of absentee ballot fraud and removed from office. He was sentenced to a year in prison and two years’ probation.
  • In 2016, Missouri state Rep. Penny Hubbard won the 2016 Democratic primary in the state’s 78th House District by just 90 votes. Her opponent, Bruce Franks Jr., contested the outcome over a lopsided absentee vote tally. Judge Rex Burlison ruled that enough improper absentee ballots were cast to change the results and ordered a new election. Franks won by 1,533 votes.
  • In 2016 in Texas, former Weslaco city commissioner Guadalupe Rivera pleaded guilty to one count of providing illegal “assistance” to a voter in a 2013 race he won by 16 votes. Rivera admitted filling out an absentee ballot “in a way other than the way the voter directed or without direction from the voter.” A judge determined that 30 ballots were cast illegally and ordered a new election, which Rivera lost. He initially faced 16 related charges, but 15 were dropped as part of a plea deal. He was sentenced to a year of probation and ordered to pay a $500 fine.

If mail-in ballots are a tool for fraud, ballot harvesting is fraud on Steroids.
