Native American heritage can be difficult to trace if
you were not raised on a reservation. Many of us only know of our heritage because the information was passed down through the generations by reference or as a family secret.
Until 20 or so years ago, it was not culturally acceptable to be Native American in the mainstream society. Today it is accepted as a novelty. Native culture became cool and the New Age movement began appropriating the 'good parts' of Native American cultures.
This is not a forum to help trace roots, or to promote anything other than facutal information. If you would like to post Last names Someone might recognise them. But otherwise I wouldnt be able to help you.
