The Cherokee Nation council has passed its own version of the Indian Arts and Crafts Act
Anyone who sells art within the Cherokee Nation must be a Cherokee citizen or a member of a federally recognized tribe.
Cara Cowan-Watts, a member of the tribal council, said the law will prevent the sale of fake arts and crafts.
