This weeks lesson for you is to learn the Months in Cherokee as well as
the Days of the Week. Get some practice in the sounds and enjoy!


A reference for the Months:
January - u-no-lv-ta-nv - Month of snow spirits in the wind
February - ka-ga-li - Month of frost shining in the sun
March - a-nv-yi - month when the young animal begin being born
April - ka-wo-ni - month of the melting of the ice on the waters
May - a-nv-skv-ti - month when the animals begin to shed their winter coats
June - de-ha-lu-ya - month when the weather begins to get hot
July - ka-ye-gwo-ni - month when the berries begin to get ripe
August - ga-lo-ni - month of the shedding of the fowls
September - du-le-sdi - month when the grasses begin to die
October - du-ni-di - month when the leaves begin to fall
November - nv-da-de-gwa - month when the waters begin to freeze
December - v-sgi-yi - month when the trees begin to pop
