This section will give you an idea of what's in the forum and how to
get around. We have put up questions that newcomers often ask and
selected relevant posts from members to give you an idea of what you
will find in the main forum.
This folder is a little different from the rest of the forum because
you cannot post to it--you can only read what is already here. You
can, however, follow the links to their original threads and post there
or read more.
Once you have looked around for a while, take a look at the folders
on the left-hand side. The first post in each thread is the oldest.

Less than 1 Yr Sober/Clean--a place whre newcomers share
their experiences and ask questions. You can post there and create new
"threads" (discussions) once you register. To start a new thread, go
to the top of the menu on the left-hand side (above "Show
discussions...") and pick "Post New." Then select the folder you want
to put it in and the title of the thread. You can address posts to
'All' or to specific people. But newcomers are welcome to post
anywhere, not just here.
General Sharing--as you might expect, a place where people
talk about all kinds of things. This is often where most of the action
is in the forum.
Sobriety/Recovery Journals--where people start journals to
record the progress of their recovery. Many people find this extremely
helpful. They record the details of their recovery and talk with
others about their experiences. Many of these journals have been going
on for quite a long time. You can start your own journal any time you

them, and you can expect responses from others as well as from the
person you posted to. Also, people in the forum come from all over the
world, so there may be a delay in getting a response.
