The poison used to target ex-Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Salisbury was a Novichok nerve agent, UK prime minister Theresa May revealed yesterday. Only the Russians know how to make this class of nerve agent.

I seriously doubt they used an aerosolized gas, way too hard to control for a discriminating attack.  Much more likely they used a contact version, much as VX and a few others are easiest to disseminate to a select group or individual, a touch or two and  you are toast, kinda like how they did in Kim Jung Un's brother.  In that case, a crazy volunteer it seems, used gloved hands to smear the stuff on Kim's body, POOF, he's dead.
