For those who are currently outside the United States, they should apply for refugee status.
This is the first choice. If they came through other countries to get here, stay in those other countries. Why come to the US? Coming in by the thousands overloads our system. Trump is BADLY trying to respond to the overload. You do understand we have a problem processing hundreds per day.
You did not respond to my comment about who the perp was on D Youngstuff. This is the type of people we are trying to keep out. Opening our borders to everybody lets this trash through.
Yes, separating the kids from their parents presents problems. So does putting them in tent cities in bad weather. It is a bad situation with no good remedies. There would be problems no matter what Trump did or if he did nothing. The kids had better care than if they were out on the road in the weather.

Ranking humans is a great way to rationalize abuse. Civilizations have done so going back centuries. Seems we all are doomed to repeat our past as we humans don;t seem to learn from it.

The government is absolutely right in creating policy, having that policy passed and following it. Creating situations where those that fall under that policy become victims is not an acceptable byproduct.
HWPeeler (HPeeler) said:Why would a mother bring her child into the country through the gutter and subject her child to this treatment.
Sadly many countries wrongly believe that "America" is a sanctuary and that all people are treated humanly.
One might ask... Hasn't the word gotten out about what WILL happen should you risk it? Probably yes, but given the choice to remain where they are or risk the "rumors" they are obviously not choosing the first.

Yes, the problems you point out are real. Is the solution to just let everybody in with no vetting? How long does it take to process 1,000 families? What do you do with the children in the mean time.
Don't just complain about the situation. Suggest a solution.
