Their guardians ARE the US government. How would you manage 1,000 children who don't speak the language? Bad situation with no good remedy. You can't keep the families together in jail. Should the parents not be in jail? Suggest an alternative?
So you think it's reasonable to subject children to strong psychotropic drugs to "control" them?

When so many come in at one time the facility gets over loaded. You can't keep the children in jail with the parents,
