This is the Tucson chief of police.
Troubling questions for police chiefs whose departments directly or indirectly assist w/immigration enforcement that separates parents from children: Is this consistent with the oath you took to serve & protect? Is this humane or moral? Does this make your community safer? pic.twitter.com/o7vVZBn0K8

If it was immigrants whose children were taken, I would also be up in arms. These are NOT migrants, they are illegal immigrants who have no legal right to be here in any fashion.
Now the actions of separating children is an issue that needs to be addressed, on that I will agree. Taking children should NOT occur but let's get it right, the children are NOT taken from migrants or immigrants, they are from those who have no status, they are violating laws by simply being here, they are ILLEGAL.

Wrong on two counts. They're taking children from asylum seekers too, and those people are not considered illegal.
Count two? It's just plain evil.

"Shockingly there are situations where a parent may be taken to court to be charged, a separation occurs, only to return the same day sentenced to "time served" - but their child has already been taken to another facility. At that point nobody knows when they'd be reunited."

"WaPo gave @SenJeffMerkley "three Pinocchios" for saying there are kids in cages at Border Patrol's facility in McAllen. Not sure why. I saw myself: there are kids, families and adults in cages, cells, kennels - whatever you call them. No question. https://t.co/DKCTeM9tem"
