Based on Malachi 3:16-18 I believe the Lord will harken to us as we consider his word together.

John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Christ, and Him being LORD((for real)) Is life. Not Christ, or a mixture of other things with His being Lord is a corruption of life. These things are evident in our experiences in life and are thereby exposed (LIGHT), so that being without excuse becomes evident to all pursuing truth.

John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
I think everyone who is honest understands this = we need understanding to grow in the midst of darkness around and POTENTIALLY in us. Two greatly contrasting verses will help us in our desire to have Jesus totally enthroned as our Lord, and our Life.
1. Psalm 51:6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden [part] thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
and the negative work of devils to our pressing in.
2. John 9:40-41 And [some] of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

John 1:6-8 There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all [men] through him might believe. He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light.
I like to think of this as the drawing of GOD to His Son. Here in the days of His flesh Jesus worked that He would be understood to be the life of men. Then after His resurrection He joined Himself to those receiving Him, that He would in FACT be the life of men. This is the reality of GOD being our Father and ministering life to us through the person of His Son.

John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
GOD will judge perfectly in accordance with all factors. We all have a conscience where things divert from truth either by wicked motives, or circumstances. GOD delivers out of circumstantial powers, but will have nothing to do with wicked motives. We are all without excuse, and in that day we will know it.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:
1. receiving Him 2. power to become Two foundational pillars of the gospel, but how fully are they developed in modern discipleship?

John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Everything pertaining to life proceeds from GOD and is only corrupted when men place their own thoughts and ideas in. The division and strife among believers proceeds forth from men = Ephesians 4:14 who lack the discernment of seeing what is of men, and what is of GOD in Christ = Heb 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
