Hi Dyhani,

I can't thank you enough for all your help, teaching me how to backup my computer, helping get my computer to run  faster, most of all telling me I could call you anytime if I need help. You are the kindest, most thoughtful person I ever met.  I don't know if your notice how long you helped but I know, 4 hours you where on the phone with me. If I didn't have the info about my computer you would say no problem will find another way you must have said that at least 10 times, you never got upset or made me feel bad. There aren't enough people like you in this world...…. I'm happy and honored to call you my friend. God Bless you and keep you safe.

Your Thankful Friend,

Darlene

She is truly a wonderful person. I consider her my best friend and we talk almost everyday. She has been through all the times my various worthless computers have had trouble down to and including helping me open my laptop to but in new memory.

I can't wait for the day when I can meet her in person.

Im going to move this to Messages From the Heart.

Awww, garsh!  Makin' me blush!

Y'all are WONDERFUL people, too!

We're going to break our arms patting each other on the back stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye

I remember simultaneous Gatherings around the world attended by fellow Players (Stoners) of The Stone (another online puzzle game that was FANTASTIC!! Played for 8 years, I think) and there were also Gatherings for Dark Manor Players.

The Stone is still playable, but I don't think the in-game Chat is Active because the game has completed.  But there is a Forum that has Hints.  We called them 'nudges.' And the game itself has some cryptic Hints. There are also Player-created Puzzles (which I haven't finished yet)

Here's the link (hosted by Scarecrow (one of my favorite Players):

I'm ok with patting backs, but here we do kiss each other (on the cheeks of course, on the cheeks, tsk!!)

I'd love to meet ya all, but I am living a bit far away!! Should any gathering(s) take place, I'll join ... in thought!!

The Stone rings a bell, I'll give it a try!! I might have done so already but found it too hard? The link looks definitely familiar to me! Hop! in my to-try favourites!! relaxed

It's really not hard ~ pretty much 'say what you see' meaning, enter the visual clues (separately) in the answerbox and if you're on the right track, you will get a:

Clever, Too Clever

or, the exciting

Close, So Close

Then search the web for combinations of the Closes and Clevers and (and the Title of the Puzzle often gives a hint)

I've solved all 216 puzzles in The Immediate and can give Nudges.  Have access to all the answers, closes and clevers, hidden clues in the puzzles, mouseovers, BoBs (black on black text you highlight to see)

Several times I knew the answer right off the bat and was the FIRST to solve.   Other times, it took days.  If the answer is a person, often just the surname works.  Some answers are multiple words.

So, it isn't really an instant gratification type of game.

But it gives your brain something to chew on even when you're not in front of the computer.  Many times a close, clever or answer would hit me when I was shopping, swimming, or whatever, and couldn't wait to get home to try it.

Oh my, I just tried the demo ... and it's a most wonderful failure at everything!! Maybe it's just not the right time to try and use (what is left of) my brain (can you believe that I now managed to break a toe!!?!!! Just what I needed after my back surgeries and abscesses and and and, I think I am cursed! ) so I'll give it another try next week ... or the one after!! wink
