Dear Midnight Castle Friends - I regret I will be unable to play Midnight Castle until I don't know when. Having problems with my elderly laptop - don't know the precise cause but I do know that if I try to play Midnight Castle, the poor thing has a very difficult time starting Windows. The only way I can use my laptop is to keep Windows and Firefox going all the time. I don't dare shut it down because if it won't come back up I am seriously sunk. I know I'm not explaining this well, but there you have it. I hope to have a friend see if he can figure out the problem and fix it so I can return to the Castle. In the meantime... play boldly! Your friend - NY Baker

YEP! Due to old age shaking hands and failing eye sight I do make mistakes.

I also have dyslexia which in my younger self being very tired, made for great hilarity. I coined fazes "Carrots of the Paribbean" , "srozen  Ftrawberry daiquiri's" . (I was sober).  I have learned that if having trouble with reading turning book upside down helps. It took me 20 years to explain what I see. Finally on a road trip I stopped the car next to several road signs and told him what I see I then have to turn the letters around in my mind to make sense,  People with dyslexia usually have a difficult time with math but I don't. At work I could add large columns of figures faster and with better accuracy by hand than a person with a calculator.  That helped very much with working as a casher in casino and with proofing money in a bank.

Still she is a Dear Deer to me.

Hi,

I’m with you there. Although I don’t see numbers either so well.
mostly just meaningless shapes to me. Now colours are beautiful too me. So I love pictures. Which is why I tend to visit the new header thread first. Then it takes me for ever to type and post something. I read ok and actually enjoy reading. My imagination then takes over and the book becomes alive.
I do so struggle with words and numbers, so apologies if anything is wrong.
Thanks for sharing that snippet of info.
Take care, Tracy

That's the sweetest thing I've read today!

As long as Johnny Depp is in it, I'll still watch.

Thanks for the laugh!

Tracy

Books take me away to other worlds, lives, places as well as taking me back to my younger self. It has been such a benefit to my life. Taken me away from my pain and loss.  Enriching my knowledge. When anyone askes me why I know so much I tell them I READ!

So true! It's amazing what you can learn from just reading.
