I'm so glad you're doing this - better be safe than sorry.  Many years ago in California, the valley we lived in was completely ringed with fire, all roads through the hills were cut off as well as the freeways in and out.  Unfortunately, we were not home.  We were on the other side of the hills surrounding our valley, but our kids were all home.  Being separated from them and unable to get to them for several hours was the most terrified and helpless I've ever felt.  You can get through anything if you have your family with you.

Good luck, God speed, be safe.  Prayers & hugs coming your way.
