"Rooms to Let" are rooms available during events. They're extra games that one player has available. Some use these games to feed their their main game, others like to play more than one game for various reasons (I personally can barely handle one game). So yes, if you invite these players they'll have there rooms open for events and you aren't required to gift them.
Event friends are the same concept, use their rooms for event but gifting isn't required
I also have ex-players/lost games/old id rooms. These are rooms that are no longer active except for the event in which the room is "stuck on" then I can play them, I call these my Permanent Rooms. The only way that I would lose these would be if a Private Room glitch occurred. This has happened a few times since I started playing. It is when our private rooms aren't showing to other players. To fix this each players has to go to their own private room and change one thing it it (could be a piece of furniture or the name of the room). Since my Permanent Rooms aren't being played (for whatever reason) by those players, they won't be fixed so I would have to delete them.
hmm, this is starting to sound very complicated! :)
thanks for the info
You're welcome!! Don't worry you'll get the hang of it. I was overwhelmed my first full Event (I had started during a Spring Event although I didn't realize it at the time) but I got the hang of it. Took me a couple to figure out how I wanted to play them.
Hi Azurina, I keep a written list of my friends, because as I have played this game for ages and have lots of friends who have lost or moved their games and didn't make a list. Most players are really understanding about you inviting them, if you put a message on your avatar letting them know they were dropped. I prefer to keep my list so I can track who is no longer playing and I can remove them and take on new or returning players. When you request a player, the game will give you their name as long as you enter their player number. I hope you can make sense of this.
Best wishes in your game. If you need a friend you can put in a request to Bingo, 156841. I'll be happy to have you so you can play in my event rooms (that's the best place to earn coins). I don't have a lot of gifts on the lower levels, but I try and gift to the newbies as I know they have a long way to go and need all the help they can get.
Would welcome you as a friend. I've been in the Castle about 8 years. I have a long list of friends and would welcome you to my list. I gift as often as I can and give help when I can. Della
thank you both very much and have picked up some more friends from the PC friends post, so doing pretty well for the coming event....not 100's but dozens....hahaha....prob plenty for me as a beginner!
i will send you an invite when i log into the game.
i appreciate all the advice i am getting and hope the more experienced players who have some gifts listed that i either don't have or have few of understand i can't reciprocate the gifting atm. I try to return gifts as i get them and am starting a list too! Won't be long before i will be an 'old' or 'not so old' hand at it :)
Q - how do we get the amulets? i know we need the purple power pellets to activate an amulet and we get those from HOS, but i only have one amulet and don't want to use it unless i can get a spare. thanks
They come from the HOS, I believe you can only get 20 a day.
they seem to be very light on then as i have been doing lots of HOS each day, yet only have one amulet and plenty of purple power discs. :(
Here is more information about the Amulets from the MC Game Guide...
“Amulets – The Amulet was introduced in November 2016, and is available to players when they reach Level 9. At the outset, you receive the No Cooldown Amulet and 120 Energy Units. It requires 100 energy units to activate this amulet. It remains activated for 60 minutes. During this time, you can enter any and all HOSs immediately and repeatedly.
You can receive a maximum of 20 Energy Units per 24-hour day. You receive the Energy Units randomly when completing an HOS. (However during the Fall event, you can also get an one for each ghost you trap—up to the daily maximum. During the Winter event, you can get one with each snow globe you crack—also, up to the daily maximum. During the Spring event, you can get one for each Enchanted Egg you capture—also, up to the daily maximum.)
The No Cooldown Amulet can be particularly helpful for players leveling up because they don’t need to wait for the room to recharge before being able to get back in. It can also be helpful for players who have reached the maximum level in the game during regular play when the Gnome quests are active. Some of the Gnome quests require you to enter the same room 3x for one part of the 3-, 5-, or 10-part quest.
The one disadvantage I see with the Amulet is that while you can cover some quests within the hour of activation that would normally take 6 hours to complete.....you also are deprived of earning the coins that could result from those 6 trips around the Castle.
Once you have activated the No Cooldown Amulet 3x, you get the Quick Cooldown Amulet. This one requires 47 Energy Units to activate it. It cuts the recharge time in half for all HOSs, and it also remains activated for 60 minutes.”
I hope this helps.
