So that was the end of Round 10...……………...thanks for the topic LvlSlgr.  Looks like the nest topic is up to me.

This next topic is sort of wide open to what you choose to use for your post.  The only thing I ask is that you post the date and or year it occurred.  If you use something about a person then you can use either their first or last name, just highlight which one you are using.

With that the next topic is...………………………..It Happened When?

Alaska Purchase-October 18,1867 (was the United States' acquisition of Alaska from the Russian Empire. Alaska was formally transferred to the United States on October 18, 1867, through a treaty ratified by the United States Senate and signed by President Andrew Johnson)

Civil Rights Movement-1955-1968 (was a decades-long struggle with the goal of enforcing constitutional and legal rights for African Americans that white Americans already enjoyed. With roots that dated back to the Reconstruction era during the late 19th century, the movement achieved its largest legislative gains in the mid-1960s, after years of direct actions and grassroots protests that were organized from the mid-1950s until 1968. Encompassing strategies, various groups, and organized social movements to accomplish the goals of ending legalized racial segregation, disenfranchisement, and discrimination in the United States, the movement, using major nonviolent campaigns, eventually secured new recognition in federal law and federal protection for all Americans)

Off to work...………………..

Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) - 1970 (are an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1970 by songwriters/multi-instrumentalists Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood with drummer Bev Bevan. Their music is characterised by a fusion of Beatlesque rock, classical arrangements and futuristic iconography. After Wood's departure in 1972, Lynne became the band's leader, arranging and producing every album while writing virtually all of their original material. For their initial tenure, Lynne, Bevan and keyboardist Richard Tandy were the group's only consistent members.)
