Face the Nation - is a weekly American news and morning public affairs program airing Sundays on the CBS radio and television network. Created in 1954, Face the Nation is one of the longest-running news programs in the history of television. Typically, the program features interviews with prominent American officials, politicians and authors, followed by analysis from a panel of journalists. Margaret Brennan is the current moderator of Face the Nation, though former host John Dickerson has substituted during Brennan's maternity leave. In 2017, Face the Nation's audience was the largest of all Sunday public affairs programs, with an average of 3.538 million viewers. NBC competitor Meet the Press has closely competed for the title in 2018, besting Face the Nation's audience for several months.

The Huntley–Brinkley Report - was an American evening news program that aired on NBC from October 29, 1956, to July 31, 1970. It was anchored by Chet Huntley in New York City, and David Brinkley in Washington, D.C. The program ran for 15 minutes at its inception but expanded to 30 minutes on September 9, 1963, exactly a week after the CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite did so. On February 16, 1970, NBC announced that Huntley would retire later that year. Huntley and Brinkley concluded their final newscast together on July 31, 1970.
