I don't know if this just started with one of the updates we just got or what. I just noticed it about a week ago and was waiting to see it again. So far I've only seen it with the Magic Shards and "Explore any scene". It used to be 200 Magic Shards which could really eat those up fast! 25 is a much more reasonable and doable number. And I'm not complaining about only having to do 23 HOSs instead of 50. But really, 23 is an odd number.

This has been a glitch for a couple of years. Some games are fortunate enough following an update to have Trina reset to the beginning of her quests. I haven't been lucky yet but I know Berengaria was and I think AEG might have been lucky. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Okay!

I recall AEGram posting about smaller amounts quite some time ago but I didn't have that. So now I do! No complaints here ... especially with the shards!

I'll have to keep an eye on these to see what else is lower.

I was the first person to report this happening, quite some time ago. I thought it was a change as well, and was like, hey isn't this great, and then got blasted by someone because they didn't have it (which I didn't know) and didn't think it was fair that I had an advantage that they didn't. That has made me wary of posting on here ever since.

My re-set started even lower than what yours is showing, needing only 5 scenes or HOS and 10 magic shards.

Anyway, enjoy your good fortune while it lasts. The more quests you do the more the numbers will slowly  start creeping up again until they are eventually back at the 'normal' levels. But hopefully it helps you get a little closer to the end of the Trina quests.

Lucky!!! I can only hope this happens to me soon.

Hi  cat

One of my games has reset - back to the beginning: 5HOS, 5 ZZ, 10 airship, 10 shards.  Been playing it for a few days now and I am up to 7 HOS and 7ZZ, 12 airship and 12 shards.  It is on my level 18 game so these are much more doable figures than the 50HOS, 20ZZ, 300 airship and 200 shards that were on it before.  My airship is around 50-60 each time on this game and it was taking several times of sending the airship to fulfill Trina's quest.   THANK YOU glitch !!

The down side would be on my level 119 game where the airship is 360-420 each time.  What a waste for just 10 items.

Anyway, good luck Tammy and I hope a drop comes your way.  Have fun in the castle.

Thanks for the good thoughts, but I'm never going to conquer any of those really long, hard achievements. I can't remember anymore the exact years, but I've had major problems. The first time - maybe 3 years ago - my game was "hijacked" with a game that was way behind where I was. So I lost a lot of progress. Yes, BF was able to give me back my coins, diamonds, some inventory, etc., but it wasn't able to do anything about the progress in the achievements. At the time, I was keeping a weekly log of my progress in those hard achievements. I could see how much farther behind I was. Very frustrating but I kept on playing. Then about a year later - when I had really made some progress - I got the save error and went all the way back to the beginning of the game. So I had to start all over again on those achievements. I'll never get any of those done. And then about a year ago - I'm not certain when it happened - there was another glitch that took several of us back in our achievements. Not back to the beginning, but back to the beginning of the section you were on. Each achievement has 3 sections, right? Let's say the first one is to get 50, the second one is to get 300 and the third one is to get 1000. If you were at 825/1000, it took you back to 300. So once again I lost a lot of progress.

I keep all of the notepads where I record MC things and about 6 months ago I went back and figured up what I had for the 3-part Daily Quests Achievement and the 5-part and 10-part also. If nothing had happened to my game, I would have completed the 3-part and 5-part already. Needless to say, I don't put the effort into the game that I used to. I think I mainly still play because of all of my friends in the game and in this forum. And yes, WeeSam, you are one of those friends.

Again, thanks for the kind thoughts.

You have had some misfortune, so I'd say a little lucky glitch is due to you!

I have been extremely fortunate so far, with nothing major happening to my game, although I did have my computer blow up, and had to start the game on a new computer at one point, but that was back in 2014 when the game was still relatively new, and I was happy enough to start over with the knowledge of 'what not to do'. Never did get my old game back, because I wasn't aware at the time it was possible.

The funny thing about the person complaining about me having an unfair advantage in the Trina quests is that, like you, I am never going to make it anyway, not unless the game keeps going for another 20 years or so! Trina and the Daily Quests are beyond me at the moment with having to still work full time, and limited amounts of play in the evening. I don't even really try for the daily quests, and haven't even reached the second stage in any of them. Maybe in about 7 years when retirement arrives I can start making inroads into those, but they are still years away from completion.

Have fun with your lucky glitch while it lasts. If any one deserves a little luck it is you, my friend.

I can't imagine trying to keep up with MC and work also. I had just retired when I found the game. That was back in Sept. 2014. I retired at 62 - as soon as I could draw my Social Security - because I had grown to hate the job. I was tired of working 60-70 hours a week and not get paid for it because I was a salaried employee. I worked for that company for 8 years and it only got worse each year. The good thing was when I moved from Virginia back to Kentucky (to be near my grandchildren) they allowed me to continue to work for them from home. That was good because at the time I was 56 and it would have been hard to find another job at that age. But I soon discovered that I was working so many hours that I didn't have much time to see my grandchildren. In the 8 years I worked there they only gave out raised twice. Each time was because they had gotten a low-interest loan through the government that required them to give each employee a raise. Another reason I retired was because my mother had moved back to Kentucky (from Florida) in 2013 and stopped driving right after she moved back. Somehow I became the one who always had to run her around to doctors, hair appointments, etc. It just was too difficult to keep that up along with trying to work the hours that were required by my job. I decided I couldn't get rid of my mother but I could get rid of the job. So I retired. 2014 was also the year I had both knees replaced ... another reason to retire.

Hang in there!

That made me laugh so hard. And I can emphasize. My mother is in a rest home, and has dementia, and loads of hospital appointments, which I have to take her to. I don't drive so its taxis or a kind friend. My brother who lives here has turned into someone I don't want to know and refuses to help, so its all down to me.  I don't begrude helping mum, but it is hard when you are working all day.

Fortunately I have a great employer who is super understanding with time off whenever I need it, and NZ has very good employment laws which generally favour the employee. I get a raise every year, and would never consider working 60-70 hours. 37-40 hours is the norm for most people. We are firm believers in a good work/life balance in NZ. Last week I negotiated with my boss to drop my lunch hour to a half hour and go home a half hour earlier. I am loving it, even though it is only half an hour it seems to make the evening so much longer. Which means a little more time for MC every evening.
