It doesn’t appear that I can receive private messages.  I have shown 0 new messages for quite awhile now.  I have friends who have messaged but I cannot access them.  I believe this has been the case since I’ve changed my email address.  I’m at a loss as to how to fix this.

KidMagnet gave me this info:

When others cannot send you a private message....click on your avatar in the very top right section....choose "My Preferences" ....scroll down on the page and be sure there's a check in the box next to "Member to Member email"

This doesn't mean others will send emails to you...it allows them to send you a private message on this site.

Thank you for your reply.  I believe you meant to say upper left, but I did follow the instructions, and I found the problem.  There is nothing that says “my preferences”.  Just to make sure, I checked the gear in the upper right and it doesn’t appear there either.

I found it.  Everything looks good.  Member to Member email is checked, but still don’t have any new messages

Are you certain there are others here who have been sending you private messages?

No, I didn't mean to say upper left....I'm talking about the avatar on this site, not on your game screen. 

At the upper right of this forum when you're logged on, there will be two 0 (if you have no messages) followed by the little avatar/picture you use when making a post, then there will be a star.

When you click on the dropdown arrow next to your picture/avatar, the following will display from in the dropdown area:

My Profile Photo
    My Profile
My Preferences
   My Account

         Help

      Log Out

You would choose My Preferences and follow my previous instructions.

Hi AEGram; I have a new tablet and have strayed a game on it. I’m waiting until the Anniversary event is over to try to get my old game transferred over. Meanwhile, can I invite friends to my new game? I know that won’t be transferred over. Also, what effect will playing the new event on the new tablet have on the transfer?

As you can tell, I’m not great with computers - I do a few things well and am helpless outside them

Friends are housed on your device. Nothing transferred from Big Fish would impact them. There's no reason to wait to send invites to friends as long as you've reached Level 13. .....while you can invite friends at Level 6, most will not accept for a player that is below the level on which the Private Rooms become available.

ANY PROGRESS you make on the new computer will be wiped out because the old game progress overwrites everything that is in the game statistics. As a result, any and all gain you make toward the Anniversary Event will be lost.
