Thanks Kate, and everyone else who has responded. Regarding the search it's probably not a glitch per se, simply that the search returns only exact matches (though it's not case sensitive) so when my nick is "iBiff" you find it but if I change it to "iBiff is a Spineless Simp Who Can't Bring Himself to Hit 'Decline'" (for example) then a search for "iBiff" returns no matches.
