OMG! I used to have a cat who would eat my mouse cables! I once went through 4 mice in a week!!!

I used to think National Lampoon Christmas Vacation made that up about the poor cat who chewed on the Christmas lights cord! Apparently not!

my sisters cats would gobble them up right in front of you with look on his face....are you paying attention to this. That cat is a hoot.

We had to use the off brands.

I used to have an auto repair shop.  We would have customers have their cars towed in because one morning they wouldn't start. We'd find some critical wire cut off.  OK, simple fix, happy customer (usually! LOL!) Until it happened again the next week.

Came to find out that it was because of the outrageous spike in OPEC prices that plastics manufacturers had begun using peanut oil instead of petroleum to make plastic. Including the plastic insulation on wire!!! It was like candy to the RATS!!! Who would climb into your nice warm engine bay at night & feast on the smorgasbord!
