Lady Pirate

My Momma and older sister decorated the whole house inside and out for Christmas.  It really was the most wonderful time of the year for them.  After they passed within one year of each other, I decided I would decorate for them.  So I guess determination is what I have to get it done. I do it to honor them because I saw how much enjoyment they got out of decorating.  My Momma always told me to put my tree up the day after Thanksgiving and take it down before the first of the year.  So that is what I do.  I have a lot of the ornaments and decorations she and my sister used in their houses, so it's like a part of them are still here with me.  blush

Congratulations to everyone here who worked so hard to finish achievements.

My datsdat game on PC (at level 23) did well in the FE. Got all the pumpkins for All Hallows Jack YAY, Then I got the Knight from dice, then I won the MOOSE for double sixes YAY.  All in a 2 week time frame. Also getting close to 1 million coins. Also added about 40 diamonds during the FE collect morphing pumpkins.

So I'm doing the HAPPY DANCE

Have FUN roamin' the Castle ((-:

That’s a wonderful way to remember your loved ones! I have many of my mom’s favorite decorations as well. We put up the tree within a week of thanksgiving, but keep it up until the feast of the three kings (Jan 6).

Woot! Woot! Congrats Dats.....doing the happy dance dancer with you on your achievements. I am having a very hard time getting double sixes. I get maybe 1 every 2-3 months so that Moose is a long way away for me. wink But I am persistent and will continue until eventually he will be mine!!

See ya in the castle!!

Thank you! Isn't it great to look at the decorations and think of all the good memories? My mom was a "collector" precious moments, barbies, Campbell soup decorations to name a few and quite a few other things.  Her tree was a cornucopia of decorations. When she passed we had over 20 boxes of just decorations to go thru, not counting all her other collectibles.  Her whole house was full of things she collected.  She collected dolls and paperdolls, too.  When I would go shopping and was looking for a particular doll the sales person would ask how old the "little" girl it was for was.  I would laugh and say 60 all the way up to her 80s.  They just looked at me like I was crazy.  Then I would explain it was for my momma who collected them.  blush

What nice memories! Going through her collection must have been like a treasure hunt!
