Oscar the Grouch - is a Muppet character created by Jim Henson and Jon Stone for the children's television program Sesame Street. He has a green body, no visible nose, and lives in a trash can. Oscar's favorite thing is trash, as evidenced by the song "I Love Trash", with a running theme being his collection of seemingly useless items. Although the term "Grouch" aptly describes Oscar's misanthropic interaction with the other characters, it also refers to his species. The character was originally performed by Caroll Spinney from the show's first episode until his official retirement in 2018. Eric Jacobson began understudying for the character in 2015, and officially took on the full role after Spinney's retirement in 2018.

Prince Charming (is a fairy tale stock character who comes to the rescue of a damsel in distress and must engage in a quest to liberate her from an evil spell. This classification suits most heroes of a number of traditional folk tales, including "Snow White", "Sleeping Beauty", and "Cinderella", even if in the original story they were given another name, or no name at all. Often handsome and romantic, these characters are essentially interchangeable, serving as a foil to the heroine; in many variants, they can be viewed as a metaphor for a reward the heroine achieves for the decisions she makes.[1] The prominence of the character type makes him an obvious target for revisionist fairy tales. "Prince Charming" is also used as a term to refer to the idealized man some people dream of as a future spouse)

Benedetta "Bennie" Rosato - is a fictional character in the book series by Lisa Scottoline "Rosato & Associates" and followed by the series "Rosato & DiNunzio." Rosato is a maverick lawyer who prosecutes police misconduct and excessive-force cases and the head of an all-woman law firm in Philadelphia. While Rosato is a part of each book, many of the books (including the first one) mainly follow another lawyer in the firm Mary DiNunzio.
Comment: Another series of books where I've read all but the most recent one. There are 11 books in the "Rosato & Associates" series and 6 in the "Rosato & DiNunzio" series.

Temperance Brennan - is a fictional character created by author Kathy Reichs, and is the hero of her crime novel series (which are usually referred to as the Temperance Brennan novels). She was introduced in Reichs' first novel, Déjà Dead, which was published in 1997. All the novels are written in the first person, from Brennan's viewpoint. Like her creator, Brennan is a forensic anthropologist. In a number of novels it is indicated that Brennan's background lies in physical anthropology, rather than medicine, and throughout the novels she stresses the importance of correct crime scene process. Temperance is a resident of Charlotte, NC and divides her time between teaching at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte and advising on crime scenes and another job at the Laboratoire des Sciences Judiciaires et de Médecine Légale for the province of Quebec in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In the first book she is separated from her husband and eventually later in the series they divorce. They have a daughter Katy who is in college at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. Based on this fact, I put Temperance's age to be in her early 40s when the series begins.
Comment: There are 21 books in this series. I started reading these probably sometime around 2000 and have read all but the latest one. There was also a TV series called "Bones" (2005-2017) which was loosely based on this character. I say loosely because in my opinion they were nothing alike. The TV series Temperance was much younger, single, worked in the Medico-Legal lab at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington, D.C. and she was quite quirky. It was a good show, but nothing like the Temperance Brennan I'd been reading about for years.

Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson were all on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" one night week before last. They were also on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" but I didn't see that one. I record Seth Meyers every night and try to watch the next day.
Wilson - was a fictional character on the TV show Home Improvement (1991/1999). Portrayed by Earl Hindman, Wilson was Tim's neighbor and confidant. As a child, his parents did not allow him to speak to his neighbors, so he really likes talking to Tim and Jill. Wilson serves as an all-wise sage in the show, doling out advice to the Taylor family and seemingly always knowing just what to say to solve a problem. While most of his appearances were to help the Taylors, on seldom occasion someone who was in the extended family, or a nonmember, such as Al, would seek out Wilson's advice. He has traveled the globe and learned much from virtually every culture in existence. He has a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies, studying "extinct languages and forgotten cultures". His house is full of artifacts along with a pet myna bird named Mozart who appeared infrequently. At first it was unclear whether "Wilson" was his first name or last, but his full name is revealed as Wilson Wilson Wilson, Jr. A visual gag is that throughout the entire series Wilson's face is never shown in its entirety, originally (and most commonly) with the bottom half obscured by the tall privacy fence that separates the neighbors' yards; this was based on how Tim Allen saw a next-door neighbor when he was growing up.
