Walt worked hard to make this forum work.  I miss connecting to you all.  Please keep this community going, okay?

Sorry, I have not been on Delphi for a long time.  It seems so much has moved to Facebook.  No big news on my end.  I still ride a Harley Heritage.  Hope you are well and enjoying the Summer!

I remember you, elkval.  Yes, most of us are on FB now.  Please stick around.  Walt spent a lot of time building this site.  I know him personally.  Enjoy your HOG.  A Ninja was on my bucket list, but when my Mack passed, I moved back to Montreal and it never came to be.  No matter.  I had a magnificent five years riding two up on his BMWR1200GS.

You have a great riding season, too.

Hi Karen,

I get an extra day at the library this week. The boss lady is staking the day off. Not much going on here so I just decided to check Delphi fora out. Today is the hottest day of the year so far. I an just sitting here enjoying the A/C. Hope you are having fun.

Not all that warm here in my home.  Nice breeze coming in from the NW.  Believe it or not, we get heat waves here too :).  If it gets a little too oppressive, I sit out on my balcony and watch the world go by.  I love summer.  We are all going to be complaining about the cold in six months, right?

BTW, have you been in touch with Val lately?  For some reason, she liked me LOL.

I think this is a lot belter than messenger in FB. At least the it is easier for me to read. While I lived on the farm I spent most of the day (and night) outdoors. I had a table and chair set up under a shade tree. Lots of open space for the breeze to do its thing. If I was in the house more than half hour a day it was unusual. One summer we had a week or so of 110-115 degree days. I just sat there and enjoyed it. Not a a care in the world. I also had a place where I could sleep under the stars. Now that I am a townie I am more crowded. I still have a tree, table, and chair. Tut the privacy fence blocks the breeze. I am doing my sleeping on the porch. Not under stars but still nice. My house has two window A/C units. One in the bedroom, one in the dining area. I have not plugged either of them in. I have no clue is either of then work. Don't need it.

Interesting question about Val. Yes, I have sent several holiday and/or birthday texts to her. When I moved to town I told her. We had a fairly long phone call. She was bubbly and happy. She asked if I could send her some pictures of the house. I had some and did. She also suggested that maybe I could go up late spring for a meet and greet. I said probably and the subject was changed. During the next month or three I left several voice messages and texts Asking when it would fit in if I did go north. No answers.

One other year I made a trip to NW Kansas. I figured that it would be worth my time to go to South Dakota if anybody was interested. I know another lady who lives in the Hills. I send message to the two ladies stating I might be there and when. I did my business and spent another night then headed South. About the time I got to Oklahoma the other lady sent me a text asking if I was still in the hills. Sigh!

Maybe I should pretend to something constructive. Type more later,

Good to have you back on Walt's lawn, Jerry.  I agree the format is a lot easier to use than FB.  I'm with you on the AC.  I don't have any either.  I LOVE the heat.  Besides, my apartment is always cool since I get no direct sun.  In a few months, everybody is going to be complaining about the cold LOL.  Good to hear you have been keeping on touch with Val.  Now that Jack has retired, I suspect she wants to spend as much time with him as possible.  Don't be a stranger, okay?

Greetings,

I may have some news for this week. On the 2:00 pm radio newscast It was reported that we had a earthquake Near here. It was about 11:00 last night. Magnitude around 3.0. No injuries or damage were reported.

I have no doubt there was a quake but I doubt is was here. I have heard that it was 75 or so miles from here..

I called john and Lil and visited a minute or three. Used that for an excuse to call.

OOPs tis closing time.

We had two earthquakes here in Montreal in recent years.  I slept through both of them LOL.  The world could come to an end and I'd never know it.

Karen,

The big news from last week is I got my new teeth. I had "lost" my uppers earlier. I finally decided it was time for me to buy a new set. I had the old set for about 20 years. I could have got them closer (180 miles) but I hd the same man make my old . When I got the first set he put them in and I didn't go back til now.
they fit. No adjustments, no trimming.

Talk more later,

Jerry
