Hey fella's I'm new to this team, but I joined because MaxPC is by far the best mag i subscribe to.

Did anyone notice as of 3/28/04, we have but 4 short days until Ars Technica steals our 7 spot? We are being outproduced 1000 points a week. I say its time to rally our troops and give them a fight for the 7 spot!

Unfortunately, it is inevitable that we'll be overtaken for now. Maximum PC is promoting Folding at Home on the official website, and we should get a couple of lines promoting the project (and the team) in an upcomming issue.

For now, hang tight, get as much folding as you can, and we'll reclaim our solid lead in number seven soon enough!

Well Chams, here is some info on my recent improvements

I changed my 2.4b (overclocked to 170true fsb,681 effective( 3.06 not ht but oh well its gone now:)) p4 to a 3.0c and overclocked it to 3.75
got rid of one of my 1800xp's and got a 2500+ Oc'd to 3200+ (like everyone else)
my other xp is a 1800+ was clocked to a true 2.0ghz but has been kicked up to 2.2ghz and beeing seen as a 2800+
Got one of my buddies processing under my named with a 2500+ @ 3200+
Brought up my dual p3 tualatin 1.26ghz machine from mothballs and have it cranking away now as well.
Have my slow cash register (Duron 950 hey, how much power does a achine need for quickbooks anyway)
ANd now by the end of the weekend I should be in the 240's for team positioning.

I am trying to convince my buddy who bought my p4 2.4b to run folding, but he is being less than forthcoming.

I have spent too much money *upgrading for the cause* :) Or at least, thats what my girlfriend says.

I just added a Dual PIII 800MHz to the fold, but dedicated a few other systems to help out a friendly MPC-related forum team.

I'm trying to get a network of 130 PIIIs/P4s online for team MPC. We're all set but I just need approval from their IT guy.

I just picked up the Pace a little by adding that 3rd machine.

now got machine id 4 at 700MHZ
machine ID 3 at 1.6GHZ
and machine ids 3&4 is the new one 3.6GHZ Mult-threading so its folding 2X. I'm spending alot for the cause!

I added a emachines athalon 3000 to my mix. The only problem I've had is the last wu on the emachine, kept restarting to zero steps everytime I rebooted! At least it is done with that wu, and the latest wu doesn't seem to have that same problem.

Anybody heard if they are going to do a 64bit folding client?
