It's been a little over a week since I had DuPage County send out the paperwork to butthead boy. Time to call him up.

Was on the phone for 3 minutes, 33 seconds.

He kept trying to shout me down, talk over me, and wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise. And yes, he's DEFINITELY "english is a second language".

He's convinced he can keep ignoring this and it'll go away.

HA!

He told me to call his lawyer. The buttmunch who won't even call me back to confirm that he is or is not defending this nimrod.

Looks like Chuckie is going to asset discovery.

*chuckles* Oh, man . . . I mean, I know it sucks for you that this is turning into such a massive headache. But it is pretty freakin' funny, in a . . . you know, mind-numbingly stupid way.

I still stick to my opinion that you need to find the shadiest, most ruthless, hardasssed collections agency you can.

BTW, did the judgement against him also include him having to pay the costs of the fileing and things?

Yup.

$1199 for the laptop.
$35 for the original shipping.
$135 in assorted court costs.

If this goes further, it'll also be $20 for the certified mailing from the 14th, AND any further costs I incur in the course of collections.

So it's only going to cost him more.
