The AntiBible ProjectThis discussion board is for those who wish to express their opinion concerning the Bible. Please use common sense and courtesy when addressing board members. We will not censor your posts unless they are intended to insult or harass others in this forum. Thanks for your understanding, and may all your questions be answered.
For discussions of the problems of religion, ranging beyond the Bible and its interpretation, check out the Anti-Religion Forum.
Please cut down your signatures while posting here. We can and will edit them out if they're too large. See rule 1048.13.
This forum has a FAQ Web site. If you haven't checked it out, you should! The address is http://antibible.tripod.com/. Our collection of excellent quotes has been expanded, and moved to its own page there.
Please use common sense in this forum. Do that, and you won't have much trouble.
- Please stick to the topic at hand. We tend to drift into various disciplines, but don't dabble in "small talk."
- No ad hominem attacks, insults, abuse, etc.
- No "thumping." This is making a Biblical pronouncement ("You're all damned to eternal hellfire unless you repent and are born again!") without any sort of discussion to back it up -- especially when it's repeated. You can disclose your beliefs -- we just ask that you discuss them with us.
- If you should make a mistake and have to delete your own post (you can edit and delete your own posts, here!), please post a message saying you did so. Forum management likes to account for all posts.
- Not cutting-and-pasting, or C&P. This is pasting outside material into a forum message. Unless this material is appropriate to an ongoing discussion, don't do it. We'd much rather find out what you think about things.
- C&P to start a thread, is therefore always unacceptable. You may post a link, along with a paragraph or two about it.
- C&P is, however, acceptable in the Humor folder. Even so, links are preferable.
- No proselytizing. No one is here to become prey for missionaries.
- Anything which unduly harms the overall health of the forum, is forbidden.
- There is a graduated system of penalties for these offenses. Of course, more serious ones demand a more serious penalty.
- We have a Forum Integrity Committee of longtime contributors who will assist the forum management in determining when a problem occurs and what should be done about it.
- Believers are welcome, so long as they're willing to discuss their beliefs, and not merely trumpet them all over the place.
Details of these rules can be found the Rules page at our Forum FAQ. In fact, please look at them at your earliest convenience. Participation in this forum, implies your knowledge and acceptance of these rules.
What?! You didn't check out our FAQ?! If you haven't seen it, you really should. |
