Basic Members: READ ME

Welcome to www.Chessville.com 's discussion forum!  Our goal is to create a friendly, informal chess community where we can discuss chess, freely exchange information & advice, help each other improve, and share our love for the game.  The forum also serves as a place where Chessville visitors can interact directly with the Chessville creative team to ask us questions about our site or make suggestions for improvements or future additions.

Chess players of all levels are welcome here, from beginners to Grandmasters!  Like any community though, there are rules:

Intentional rudeness, personal attacks, flame wars, or overtly offensive messages are unacceptable. It's OK to disagree with each other or even argue, but do so politely, please.  Offensive messages will be immediately deleted and the person posting them will risk having his or her right to participate in this forum suspended.

Be patient with beginners and lower rated players.  We were ALL chess beginners at one time.  We want to have a community where higher rated players share their wisdom & experience and help lower rated players improve.  We also want everyone to feel free to ask for help on any subject or give their opinion about any matter being discussed.

Finally, we have a NO-SPAM policy.  By all means, share links to chess-related sites with us that our members will likely be interested in visiting, but DO NOT join this forum just to blatantly advertise your site.  Members who've taken the time to become part of the community are more than welcome to tell us about great sites they've found or even those they've created themselves, but using this forum to bombard its members with disruptive messages or SPAM is not acceptable.
