Flower petals bend beneath my footsteps,
and butterflies scatter as I pass,
the bees buzz merrily around me,
and the bunnies hip-hop to follow,
This is why I smile.
I am but a giggling nymph,
tickled by the beauty of the world around me,
puzzled by the complexity of a spider's web,
awed by the power of a willow's wisdom,
transient as the rain, I spend my years in the forest.
My skirts do swirl about me,
and, as they catch in the briars I tend to shed them,
the better to flirt with the satyrs and elves,
and so I make merry in the joy of my realm.
Those on the outside may see darkness,
but the darkness here is a pretty one-
Don't you see?
Come and visit my glen, and see the song that can't be sung,
Come and know the feelings only expressed by words that don't exist,
Come and share a day with Gwen.
