In loving memory of our host - Connie W. - who may not be here in her presence but her spirit remains forever.

The Lighthouse hopes to serve as a ray of light in the darkness for the victims of Eating Disorders as we try to follow the light of recovery and our Higher Power to a more fulfilling and happy life.
Anorexics, Bulimics,Compulsive Overeaters and those who love and care about them are all welcome here. Welcome! Come on in and make yourself at home! The door is open.
I hope to create a safe place where those with Eating Disorders can gather for support, acceptance and understanding.
There will be no advice-giving,shoulds or ought tos.We help each other by sharing our experiences, strength and hope as we learn to handle our emotions without turning to the food as our protector.
Working the program is a continuing process but the rewards during the journey are well worth the work as evidenced by the "Big Book" Promises (found in the book "Alcoholics Anonymous",pp. 83-84)."They are being fulfilled among us.Sometimes quickly,Sometimes slowly. They will always materialize if we work for them!!"
*In Memory of Those who lost their lives* WTC and the Pentagon September 11,2001
"Keep coming back.It works if you work it and give a lot of love!!"
Note:
We are not affiliated with Overeaters Anonymous but we do use the OA 12 Steps and Traditions to recover from our Eating Disorders whatever they may be as the disease process and feelings which are at the root of the disease are the same for all eating disorders.
