What this forum is all about?
Welcome to the Nanapong message board. This board is to complement the Nanapong web site. Your Free Guide to nightlife in Thailand. This message forum has become a community covering many aspects of life in Thailand not only nightlife. On this Forum you will meet many like minded and friendly people. Feel free to talk about. Thai expat issues, Thai travel, Thai nightlife discussion, Thai culture and food. In fact please feel free to talk about any Thailand related topics. New visitors are very welcome to post here and meet new friends. In order to avoid asking for basic help please read the web site first. We are a forum about living, traveling and having fun in which covers Thai nightlife.
No political discussion (Thai or otherwise). There are plenty of boards which focus on politics. The Nanapong board focus is on lighter topics.
No excessive profanity and sexual innuendo would be tolerated.
No pornographic photos, pornographic stories, no posting of porn links, or adult-rated material.
The friendly attitude in Nanapong forum will not be compromised. This forum is meant to be a place of civility, decency and enlightened cordial conversation. Unfortunately, some will ignore this notion, you need not be among them. This is not to imply that we do not encourage differing points of view. We invite dissension of opinion, and believe in freedom of speech, subject to the following rules:
(1) No giving potentially harmful or flat out bad advice. This includes advice based on broad generalization that has no reasonable basis.
(2) Some of the topics discussed in the forum are controversial. Heated discussions are fine, and to be expected; but do not viciously insult other members or post material which is harassing, threatening, or invasive of a person's privacy. We encourage you to challenge ideas, statements and beliefs, in a respectful manner. Posting with a clear intent to provoke anger and flaming is not allowed.
(3) Profanity; gender, sexual-preference, religious, ethnic slurs; or unwelcome overtures of any kind will not be tolerated.
(4) Any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise a violation of any law will be promptly deleted. These include amongst others, postings about procurement of illegal drugs and soliciting information about pedophilia.
(5) Respect other people's livelihood and privacy, do not post messages that may cause damage to a person's professional or personal life. It is fine to post about specific negative experiences, but please do not post pictures of any person or reveal their personal information in a public forum. If you must do it, please do so by private email.
(6) Harassing other users by impersonation will not be tolerated. Handles that impersonate will be blocked.
(7) Do not type the majority of your message in caps. It is not only hard to read but is also considered as shouting. Unless of course it is in the appropriate thread and you start your message with the words "MUFFY LOVES CLIPPY"
(8) Any criticism of the Thai Royal Family will be instantly deleted. The correctness and fairness of the criticism has no bearing on the decision.
