We are a equine rescue and rehabilitation facility. We take in abused, neglected and unwanted horses.
Our Mission Statement
Our goal is to give each and every horse the opportunity at a second chance at life. We will strive to provide a safe and caring environment for horses that have endured starvation, neglect, and/or physical abuse. A place were horses can come when they are no longer wanted by their owners. Each horse will receive medical attention and daily human contact. We will help to rehabilitate each horse in the hopes that we can locate responsible, caring, loving homes and place these horses in an environment that both benefits the horse and the adoptive family. For those horses unable to be adopted they will live out the remainder of their lives here at the refuge.
We also seek to educate the public on proper care and feeding of these animals. It is our hope that through our educational programs people will learn to recognize signs of abuse and neglect and where to report such issues.
It is my personal belief that not all horses need a job to be happy and loved. Sometimes their beauty and grace must be experienced in person for the general public to begin to understand why these animals deserve a second chance at a normal life. Even simple programs such as "petting and grooming day" have a major impact on people with little or no animal experience.
