Ned's Place (for Aspies and HFA's)
We offer not only a place where Aspies can communicate in a private environment, with the
consideration and respect rarely available among NT's, but also to help promote
education on Asperger's and the drive for Aspie Rights. We also strive to cover topics unavailable
elsewhere in order to complement existing forums. For example, we feature blogs on subjects pertinent to Aspies,
as well as have resources for analysis of some workplace issues.
This is a fairly laid back place. You can be serious or silly, create
polls, or post useful information or links to web pages. You can disagree with other people in
discussions on the forum, too, and vent your frustrations with family, jobs,
friends or life in general. If you
disagree or vent, however, the simple rule is “play nice.” Show the respect to others you’d
like to see, no matter how much you may disagree. Keep posts and replies civil and
professional. Name-calling or
flaming won’t be tolerated.
When you first come on the forum, you will only have access
to the “Newbie Introduction Posts” folder. Please use this to introduce yourself to
existing members. You will find
yourself among friends. You will be
on moderation for one week, meaning your posts will be reviewed by forum staff
before they are posted. After a
week, you will be given access to the main folders of the forum, and then your
posts will no longer be moderated.
Please participate
in any of the discussions listed on the left or post your own new discussion.
This message board will allow you
to help keep in touch with contacts, exchange ideas, post files for discussion,
and maintain a searchable archive of all conversations.
Note: this board is customized for you, and read messages will not be
displayed every time you enter. These messages are still accessible through the
find buttons or the links
on the left.
