THE SEARCH FOR THE GEN. GEORGE WINGATE "SOLDIER OF MARATHON" TROPHY
The following links contain a piece originally written by the late Colonel William Economos in the NYSRPA's Bullet in November 1997. This trophy is a smaller replica of the Soldier of Marathon Trophy presented at the National Matches to the winning civilian team in the National Trophy Team Match. Its current whereabouts are unknown and no words speak better than those of the late Colonel, a man greatly responsible for the New York State High Power Program we all enjoy today.
