Welcome to The Fourth Rail forum!
This forum is for discussion by visitors to thefourthrail.com, home of online reviewing duo Randy Lander and Don MacPherson, occasionally referred to as "the Siskel and Ebert of Comics.". The site was designed by Oni Press webmaster and then-Associate (now Senior) editor James Lucas Jones.
Critiques On Infinite Earths and Snap Judgments are the places to discuss the weekly reviews. Whether you agree or disagree, we encourage friendly and lively discussion of comics and want to hear the views of everyone reading the site.
Features is for discussing our features, whether it's our 2-in-1 reviews, columns or any of the other features on the site. It's also a great place to suggest feature ideas for the future.
Over in The Comics Caboose is where we talk about comics theory. Here's the place to talk about what storytelling tools artists should bring to the table, what kind of genre of book needs a resurgence, half-baked theories of marketing comics that can be beaten about and made stronger and other notions about comics, both the industry and the medium.
The Bar Car is the place to sit back, grab a drink and chat with fellow comic book fans. Here you can discuss whatever you want, whether it's movies, news, books or anything else that folks are interested in talking about.
In the Hype Station, you'll find... well, hype. Announcements about the site, of course, but this is also the place for readers to hype their stuff. Whether it's an update of their own site, an upcoming project or a heads-up about something you're involved with, the Hype Station is the place to make our readers aware of it.
Finally, we have the Engine of Discussion. If you've found something that you think is entertaining, post it here. We love to talk about the weird stuff in the world, and there's a lot of it, particularly on the Internet.
So that's about it. Welcome to the forum, and thanks for visiting!
