We are a small group of friends who own Yamaha Star Motorcycle from the Ottawa region who share the same passion.  Every Wednesday evenings (weather permitting) from mid-May thru mid-September we meet at the Rideau Carleton Race Track for Cruise Night.  You can see a gathering of fine street rods, antiques, classic automobiles from yesteryear and bikes gathering for a show and shine.  We also take part in some charity rides that are put on throughout the summer.

1. This forum, although principally about the Yamaha Star line of motorcycles, is open to any and all riders and brands. Please be respectful of others, their rides and their opinions.

2.  We ask that you fill in the profile section  ie. your city, province and gender.  If not, messages you post will be deleted and eventually you will be banned from this forum.

3. No hostile or antagonistic behavior allowed. This includes discrimination against groups, religious beliefs, political affiliation, or individuals. Brand-bashing will not be tolerated! No Flaming!

4. Spamming is prohibited in all folders on this forum. Offending posts will be deleted and the poster will be locked out of the forum. Posting the same subject in multiple folders is considered a type of spamming. The extra posts will be removed.

5. Controversial discussion topics that will not be tolerated anywhere on this forum are (but not limited to):

1) No "Dealer or Vendor Bashing" anywhere on the forum.
2) No "MC Brand Bashing" anywhere on the forum.
3) No complaining about how you were treated on another forum.
4) No “Pot Stirring”…intentionally trying to stir controversy over what brand of bike somebody else chose compared to what you ride.
5) No personal attacks towards other forum participants.
6) No Spamming is permitted in any folder.
7) Foul Language, Sex, Religion, Politics, and other controversial subjects are not part of our agenda and we would rather not see them here. 

6. Failure to comply with any of the above rules may trigger one or more of the following responses:

A) The message may be edited or deleted.
B) You may be warned not to do it again.
C) You may be gagged for one week. (unable to post messages but you can still read)
D) Further breaches of rules may get you locked out for good.

7. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments on the way this forum is conducted, please put your thoughts into a private e-mail to the Forum Manager.

Folder Posting Guidelines:

The forum has organized folders for posting messages. Please familiarize yourself with these folders and place your posts in the appropriate folder. Threads started in the wrong folder will be moved to the correct folder.

- The “General Discussion" folder is for anything related to Ottawa Stars or Star motorcycles in general.

- The “Official News" folder is for Official Announcements. No discussion in this folder.

- The “Shows & Events" folder is for posting ride information, ride invitations, event information, and ride reports

- The “For Sale/Wanted" folder is open to all members for selling, trading, looking for and want to buy motorcycle related parts and accessories.

- The "Accessories" folder is for posts concerning motorcycle related accessories, gear, tools, etc.

- The "RoadStar" folder is for anything related to RoadStar motorcycles only.

- The "Royal Star/Venture" folder is for anything related to Royal Star/Venture motorcycles only.

- The "VStar 1100 / VStar 650" folder is for anything related to VStar 1100 & 650 motorcycles only.

- The "Dealers/Vendors" - The "Dealers & Vendors" folder is specifically created for recognized vendors to promote their Star related businesses and communicate with the forum membership. All Vendor type sales should be posted in this folder, not the "for sale/wanted to buy".

- The “Tech Tips" folder is for  tips to install, rapair etc...

- The “Safety" folder is for riding techniques, riding advice, safety discussion and accident reports.

- The “Photo Gallery” is for Members to post pictures.

- The “Jokes/Humour” is for jokes.
