What Is A Social Credit System And How Scary Is It? We Can Look To China For Some Answers

~~~~~~~ The "social credit system," first announced in 2014, is "an important component of the Socialist market economy system and te social governance system" ~~~~~~~ […]Like private credit scores, a person’s social score can move up and down depending on their behavior. The exact methodology is a secret — but examples of infractions include bad driving, smoking in non-smoking zones, buying too many video games, and posting fake news online, specifically about terrorist attacks or airport security.
Other potential punishable offenses include spending too long playing video games, wasting money on frivolous purchases, and posting on social media. The punishments for having a low credit score vary in severity, but are ever-present and, even if not violent, can significantly impact the way one lives and is treated by society. Perhaps your score is low so the government won’t let you travel. Perhaps you’ve taken a bit too long to pay a credit card bill, or, yet worse, a credit car bill racked up paying for “frivolous purchases”, so now the government will limit where you can work. ~~~~~~~
Why does that matter to you, presumably someone who’s not a subject of Red China? Because it’s what your elites want here. Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, perhaps the best example of the modern, globalist mindset, has praised the Chinese state, saying, when asked “Which nation, besides Canada, which nation’s administration do you most admire and why?”, that:
There’s a level of admiration I actually have for China. Because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and saying ‘We need to go greenest fastest, we need to start, you know, investing in solar.’”
“There is a flexibility that I know Stephen Harper must dream about of having a dictatorship that he can do everything he wanted, that I find quite interesting.
Your elites want a Chinese system. They want to be watching you. Whether through your phone (something the NSA already does), through your bank account, through the plethora of security cameras lining the streets, or through all the data surrounding your electronic profile, they want to be able to build a database about you and use it to pressure you into conforming.
Just look at what happened to the truckers when they didn’t bend the knee: their assets were frozen after security cameras caught them at the protests in Ottowa. That’s the future the elites want, the future your country could take if you don’t stand up to them now.
         "You see, the magnificent utility of “malinformation” is that any piece of true information can fall into the category – the truthfulness or lack thereof has nothing to do with whether a particular bit of data earns the label!"
        It does not matter what a person is saying. If the overlords don't like it, they can classify if either as misinformation, disinformation, or malinformation, and then cancel or purge. It really does not matter if the information is fully or partially true, because truth in their world does not define truth...THEY DEFINE TRUTH!
‘Malinformation’: The Newest Weapon in the Censorship Regime’s Arsenal
~~~~~~~ Courtesy of the corporate media "Russiagate" 5+-year theater production, you’ve heard the term “misinformation.” You’re familiar, likely, with “disinformation.” Now, the censors have devised a new weapon to incorporate into their war machine: malinformation.”

(“Mal” being the Latin prefix for “bad” for “evil”)  Sounds scary!  What is it?

Via Council of Europe:

“Misinformation: Information that is false, but not created with the intention of causing harm (e.g. someone posting an article containing now out of date information but not realizing it).

Disinformation: Information that is false and deliberately created to harm a person, social group, organization or country (e.g. a competitor purposely posting false statistics about your organization with an intent to discredit you)

Mal-information: Information that is based on reality, used to inflict harm on a person, organization or country (e.g. someone using a picture of a dead child refugee (with no context) in an effort to ignite hatred of a particular ethnic group they are against.”

You see, the magnificent utility of “malinformation” is that any piece of true information can fall into the category – the truthfulness or lack thereof has nothing to do with whether a particular bit of data earns the label!

         "The Federalist’s Sean Davis noticed the other day that a post of his got twice the engagement on Truth Social despite an audience 95% smaller than on his Twitter account."

Massive Engagement on Trump's "Truth Social" Provides New Evidence of Big Tech Shadow Banning Conservatives

~~~~~~~ Truth Social drew in 1.2 million installations its first month, and accounts are still being onboarded.
The incredible disparity in the kind of attention right-wing content gets on Truth Social vs. its direct competitor Twitter is seemingly impossible to explain without Twitter actively taking a role in its suppression. The Federalist’s Sean Davis noticed the other day that a post of his got twice the engagement on Truth Social despite an audience 95% smaller than on his Twitter account. ~~~~~~~
Even with nearly ten times more twitter followers, the above Hunter Biden story only got 211 shares after five hours, while it got over 1,000 on Truth Social.
Similarly, a video of the Biden administration admitting the removal of Title 42 would cause a surge at the border got 258 shares on twitter after 23 hours, while the Truth Social version was shared of 1.1k times after only six hours.
In the case of another Hunter Biden story, this one in regards to the FBI supposedly being unable to locate his laptop, the Truth Social version of the story was shared thirty times as much.
        “Big Tech, Big Democrat Party and Big Media all colluded to keep critical information from the American people in the run up to the most important election we have — the presidential election, so we’re launching an investigation,”
House Judiciary Republicans Launch Investigation Into Facebook and Twitter For Blocking Links to Hunter Biden's Laptop From Hell Story
Recall, the New York Post was locked out of Twitter and unable to post stories after they dropped an October surprise on the Biden campaign one month before the 2020 election.
The New York Post obtained a hard drive from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop and Big Tech went into overdrive to suppress the story in an effort to protect Joe Biden. Emails found on Hunter Biden’s laptop show the inner workings of the Biden crime family. Republican lawmakers accused Twitter and Facebook of helping shield Joe Biden from “increased scrutiny about the impropriety detailed in the Post article.”
“Shortly before the 2020 election, Twitter suppressed an explosive New York Post article detailing how Hunter Biden used the position and influence of his father, now-President Biden, for personal gain, with the apparent awareness of President Biden. We wrote to Twitter at the time with important questions about Twitter’s knowing suppression of First-Amendment protected activity. Twitter ignored our letter and, in the months since, has avoided any meaningful accountability for its actions. Now, with even the New York Times confirming the accuracy of the Post’s reporting,2 we are investigating Twitter’s actions to interfere in free and fair election-related public discourse on its platform to the benefit of President Biden and the detriment of former President Trump.” the Republicans wrote in a letter to Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal. A similar letter was also sent to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Ranking Member Jim Jordan (R-OH) said Big Media deliberately suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop from hell story Thursday morning on Fox Business. “Big Tech, Big Democrat Party and Big Media all colluded to keep critical information from the American people in the run up to the most important election we have — the presidential election, so we’re launching an investigation,” Jim Jordan said.
          “It has all-new equipment and no Big Tech. And guess what? No one can cancel us. We’re going to be open to everybody."
HUGE: Trump's Truth Social Merges with Rumble Cloud - Prepares to Onboard Millions Quickly as Beta Testing FINALLY Wraps Up
After much anticipation and a few hiccups, the final rollout of Truth Social, Trump’s new social media platform, has completed all of its beta testing and is ready to go fully online very soon, according to CEO Devin Nunez. ~~~~~~~
From Nunes“It has all-new equipment and no Big Tech. And guess what? No one can cancel us. We’re going to be open to everybody. It’s absolutely amazing, the community we’re building. A community of real people. We’re trying to take the best of what Twitter has, along with Instagram and Facebook, and put it all into one. And we’re not allowing fake bots, fake accounts. We’re doing our best to keep those out. But most importantly, we’re giving the American people their voice back, and that’s what President Trump wanted to do.”
Following the app’s lite release on Apple App Store in February, there have been millions of users who signed up on the platform and are waiting to be granted access to the platform. According to reports, there were over half a million who signed up within the first 48 hours alone. On top of that, millions have signed up without the Android version of the app being available, so only 50% of the market has had access up until now. The majority of sign-ups have not been able to sign on and are currently on the waiting list.
To solve this massive backlog, Truth Social also announced a major change to its platform that will alleviate the issue.
On Friday, the company announced that it had expanded its partnership with the video streaming platform Rumble. Going forward, Truth Social will move over to Rumble’s Cloud computing service, a move that will allow the platform to quickly overcome major growth obstacles as it looks to unseat Twitter and make a name in the Big Tech landscape.
         "Truth Social has grown in popularity since its launch in February. It earned the position of the No. 1 free app on the iOS app store, with the Twitter app coming in second."
'I'm back!' Donald Trump lights up Truth Social with first substantive post
Former President Donald Trump has made his first substantive post on his social media platform Truth Social by including a joke referencing one of his most famous Twitter posts.
"I'M BACK! #COVFEFE" he wrote, including a picture of himself on the croquet course at his Mar-a-Lago Club in Florida.
COVFEFE was a reference to a tweet the preisdent sent out in May 2017 that started, "Despite the constant negative press covfefe." The tweet and reaction to it went viral early in his presidency.
Trump's presence on Truth Social was announced on Twitter by his spokesperson Liz Harrington.
"I hear someone is posting over on TRUTH Social," she tweeted.
Before Thursday's post, Trump's lone communication on his platform came back in February when he promised "Get Ready! Your favorite president will see you soon!"
Truth Social has grown in popularity since its launch in February. It earned the position of the No. 1 free app on the iOS app store on Tuesday, with the Twitter app coming in second.
100 Facts Elon Musk-Owned Twitter Should Now Allow People To Say
It’s only been a couple of days since Elon Musk officially took the Twitter reins completely, and already notable conservative accounts are seeing a remarkable spike in followers. ~~~~~~~ “Free speech haven” appears to be precisely Musk’s goal, though, so we have hope things will keep looking up. Here’s to no more “hateful content” warnings for pointing out the Y chromosome or saying the 2020 election wasn’t perfect. To that end, I’ve compiled 100 facts that censorious Democrats might not like but Musk-owned Twitter should let people tweet.
1. Boys and girls are different.
2. Ivermectin works.
4. Lockdowns caused more harm than good.
5. Hunter Biden’s laptop is real.
8. Rachel Levine is a man.
9. The 2020 election was rigged.
11. Preborn children are living humans.
15. Gas prices are Joe Biden’s fault.
17. Covid vaccines don’t keep you from getting the WuFlu.
18. Covid vaccines don’t keep you from spreading the WuFlu.
26. College is overrated.
         "Our goal and President Trump’s goal was to give the American people their voice back, and that’s what we’ve done... That’s why I think it’s so Orwellian, so dystopian, something you only see in dictatorships, that now they’re going to set up some type of disinformation board."
Devin Nunes promises to protect Truth Social users from Biden Disinformation Czar
Trump Media and Technology Group CEO Devin Nunes on Sunday slammed the Biden administration for creating a Disinformation Governance Board and promised to protect Truth Social users from being canceled on the platform.
"Our goal and President Trump’s goal was to give the American people their voice back, and that’s what we’ve done... That’s why I think it’s so Orwellian, so dystopian, something you only see in dictatorships, that now they’re going to set up some type of disinformation board. I think that’s a direct attack the on what we are doing at Truth Social because we can no longer be canceled," former California Republican Rep. Nunes told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo.
"We’re going to protect our user from this... phony government disinformation service," he said.
Nunes criticized Disinformation Governance Board head Nina Jankowicz as "some D-rated TikTok star that is the queen of disinformation herself on the Russia hoax and the laptop from hell."
Jankowicz, who served as a disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center, in 2020 voiced her beliefs that the since-proven-true Hunter Biden laptop story was false while the since-proven-false Steele dossier on Donald Trump was true.
Her appointment, Nunes said, is "the height of hypocrisy."
"I know they may want to do it and they're going to use the Department of Homeland Security to do it, but we’re not going to tolerate it," he said.
Nunes added that he would "love to go appear before the Senate" and discuss censorship on social media if the government tries to crack down on his platform.
Truth Social is growing in popularity, becoming the top free iOS app last week.
Twitter founder Jack Dorsey now says he AGREES with Elon Musk about reinstating Trump
Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has said he agrees with Elon Musk's decision to reverse a ban on Donald Trump on the platform - despite Dorsey being CEO when the decision was made.
Musk, who is in the process of completing his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter, on Tuesday revealed he intended to revoke the ban, calling it 'a morally bad decision and foolish in the extreme'.
Trump was banned from Twitter in January 2021, in response to his supporters storming the US Capitol and attempting to block the certification of Joe Biden's election victory. ~~~~~~~ 'I do agree,' Dorsey tweeted, pointing out that he supported bans for sharing content such as child sexual exploitation (CSE), but not generally.
'There are exceptions (CSE, illegal behavior, spam or network manipulation, etc), but generally permanent bans are a failure of ours and don't work, which I wrote about here after the event (and called for a resilient social media protocol).'
'I do not celebrate or feel pride in our having to ban @realdonaldtrump from Twitter, or how we got here,' Dorsey said at the time.  'After a clear warning we’d take this action, we made a decision with the best information we had based on threats to physical safety both on and off Twitter.
'I believe this was the right decision for Twitter. We faced an extraordinary and untenable circumstance, forcing us to focus all of our actions on public safety. Offline harm as a result of online speech is demonstrably real, and what drives our policy and enforcement above all.' Dorsey added, in his lengthy thread, a caveat that the decision would need reevaluating. ~~~~~~~
On Tuesday, quizzed about his views by Axios's business editor Dan Primack, Dorsey said that he now regretted the call.
Twitter Is Still Ramping Up Efforts To Suppress Content
While the deal is not yet final, Elon Musk is buying Twitter and he’s promising to make changes to the platform, most notably by lessening the censorship that goes on behind the scenes.
While those of us who doomscroll the hellscape that is the bird app have seen some signs of life in response to Musk’s pledge — long-banned accounts being reinstated, dormant users returning, people on the right finally getting their blue checks — it increasingly seems like those still in charge want to leave as much of a mess for the next owner to clean up as possible.
An example of such began showing itself last week when podcaster Eliza Bleu sent her first op-ed to a friend and asked her to share it. When the friend opened the message, she was greeted with a warning stating “Message hidden due to suspicious content.”
So much for being a place “to give everyone the power to create and share ideas and information instantly without barriers. Our business and revenue will always follow that mission in ways that improve – and do not detract from – a free and global conversation.”
Bleu’s inaugural op-ed was about Twitter, but that doesn’t seem to be what triggered the algorithm, or person masquerading as an algorithm, as the article was more specifically about how Musk’s changes could help lessen child predators’ ability to use the app to share media showing sexual abuse. It was not a broadside against Twitter’s current modus operandi. It was not a call for digital anarchy. It wasn’t even that pro-Musk. Nonetheless, whatever algorithmic changes that have been rolled out in recent days caught her message. ~~~~~~~
While my friends, as well as Bleu’s, were able to view the message, this development is reminiscent of Twitter’s reaction to The New York Post’s reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop. At the time, users could not only not tweet a link to the piece, they couldn’t even direct message it, content warning or otherwise. Jack Dorsey may have called that decision a mistake, but some of the coders behind the scenes evidently do not share that opinion, even today.
When announcing his acquisition of the company, Musk wrote, “Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated.” Today, with these subtle changes, Twitter is now still trying to not only limit debate but prevent friends from sharing their work with one another. ~~~~~~~
But since the rot is still deep within the company, seeking to control which conversations get to happen even now, Musk must channel one such banned user, roll in on day one, and tell a whole lot of employees, “You’re fired.” If he truly wants a digital town square, it’s the only way to remove the chains that a bunch of lefty nerds are trying to keep us in.
